Horse and Armor
Corkus is good in his own way. At first I didn't like him because I thought he was a worthless, comical asshole, but his cynical nature illustrates normality, as opposed to several other characters.

As for the character diagnostic tests, they are totally inaccurate. I took another some profile tests for a different anime and I either kept getting the main character or some character that is nothing like me (e.g. a female prostitute...who I doubt is anything like me even if I am that lowly)

Lauralana

That's Hot
Ya i always come up as Judeau when i do that thing. And i really think that he was almost perfect...so i think the character things are somewhat close to the truth :p

But on the topic of Corkus... there was a reason that every character was put into the Berserk world. And as it is noted above, Corkus was meant to be the "average person" that is a pessimist and kinda thinks before they talk, and needs to be lead by someone great.

Next stop: Bedlam!
I couldn't stand Corkus though I think that his character rounds out the Band of the Hawks. Not everyone could be "perfect" like Judeau (LauraLana: I loved Judeau too. I couldn't accept that he died for quite a while). The thing that bugs me most about Corkus is (other than his cowardice) that he said he had aimed arrows at Guts' way when they were in the battlefield. That's disgusting! One thing not to like someone in your group but premeditated murder on your own group member....yeah, I'm not loving Griffith right now.

I came out at Caska. Which means I get the best guy but am too looney to realize it. Figures!

Especially on vol26 where there is a page of the hawk, i really feel a tinge of sympathy for him when i saw that :'(

DarkBlademaster

Jesus cries when he looks at me.
GAH WTF! IM A CASCA!

Ha... I did some screwing around with the results and this guy might have his sorces wrong... he describes Guts as Simple, naive, and caring... Do you agree?

some people it comes out right,
some people it comes out wrong,
it was fun though,
i came out as guts

all is well that ends well ;D

"Bring the light of day"
Corkus wasnt that bad... he just went with what he believed in, blinded by ignorance... in witch case we are all victims of...

Korcas

King of Cheesecake
I liked Korcas (duh, my name indicates that, doesn't it?), and I think he was one of the deepest Taka no Dan members.. (which really isn't hard when you look at Rikkelt and Pippin.. no offense to you Pippin and Rikkelt fans, they just didn't have much of a characterization during the Golden Ages).
Korcas was the most normal one of the Hawks, he was always looking at things in a realistic way, and cherished what he had, did you ever notice how Guts was the only one he treated like shit? That's no wonder, IMO, Guts was a newbie to the Hawks, and got what Korcas desired all the time, in the matter of a few months, so of course he was jealous, who wouldn't be? Korcas was also the only one, who actually DID tell Guts how incredibly stupid it was to leave the Hawks, they had everything, a family, money, fame, etc. Had Guts listened to Korcas, he wouldn't have had to painfully regret his leave later on.
Sure, he was an ass, he was frustrated, Cynical and obnoxious a lot of times, but I think he is the archetype of the common man in the middle ages.

Lets go, bub!
Corkus was a choad. Although his character was rather interesting how he learned to "accept his limitations and make compromises." Something to that effect. He was an angry man because his own dreams were stifled by his limitations or perhaps, self-doubt.

well fetus ninja,korcas,nomad,

and all the new people to this thread,

who were you in the quiz from the first post of this thread?

just curious ;D
