An inspiration to Berserk

I read an interview on Kentarou Miura that said "The Guin Saga" was the biggest inspiration to berserk, I searched it on Rinkya and didn't find anything. Does anyone know what it is?

Oh yeah, it also says he likes Star Wars, Highlander, Conan the Barbarian, and Spiderman? :-[

Holy crap, Guin Saga got released in the U.S.? Buying, and everyone here should too. The potential for Berserk parallels alone are worth the measly "$16.07" at amazon.com.
