Hopefully this thread will be used for different people to post their drawings, etc. Instead of having to go to different topics to see each persons threads and checking out their pictures (I'm not making any sense.) Anyways, I just found a photo shop disk lying around my house and installed it. I used it for the first time today and came up with this in about a half hour (I really messed up the rain, Griffiths mouth and Guts scars but It will improve over time, once I find out what the heck I'm doing.

Nice work man.

Only thing I can critique on would be that the oroginal gets kinda blurry.

To get rid of the bluriness, you could try to put the original on a layer above the colored one, and set its properties to soft light.

Besides that, really nice.

yup. Too blurry.

Im not too sure i like the colors either. A yellow wall, perfect blue sky, and overly light skin, and the incubus's innards are colored a bit strangely. But maybe thats just me. Keep up the work

Thanks also, I thought Guts hair was too brown. I'm gonna try to do something with the sky(because it's supposed to be around dawn I believe) and stuff as well and I also thought I did the innards a bit to...gray maybe? I gotta find out how to make them layers like a said earlier, I was toying with it on another project, but i'll just have to keep practicing. I'm sure you also notice how the wall is darker in spots, I'm trying to get rid of that, and I originally did the wall in grey but it was too light and stuff so I decided to use a color that walls never are! (at least in berserks time setting.) Thanks again for your help guys.

What you could do is start up a different layer and set it's blending mode to multiply. that way you aren't coloring over the lines... so to speak.

Basically... this:

Layer 2-color - blending mode multiply

Layer 1- manga scan -blending mode normal

I think it's easier to edit the coloring that way. That and the magic tool really helps to select an area you want to color(although it can get picky at times, and that's where the lasso tool comes in handy).

With a specific area selected you can color with out straying beyond what's selected.

Thanks for help! That will really come in handy so it will be less blurry and in the lines better. That should also help take away those dark spots from where I start and stop coloring ( I've just been using the tool that lightens the pictures up.)

That's from the Hawks scans lol. Maybe I should check out the translations from the trans section and post them? With permission of course. I don't think I'm gonna post more the one or two more though, I just don't want to put up too many scans. I'll just continue to color pages but not post them and maybe once I learn more about photo shop maybe make wallpapers and stuff. And if there's a specific page you want done email me and if it's pre volume 25 I can do it, it's good practice, but if you want one from later and you have the scan just send that to me and I'll give it a shot.

By the way, that's some nice coloring. Have you tried masking the surfaces and using a grainier airbrush? Things kinda look cool then:
