CUSTOM Guts Berserk Armor Action Figure!!

Just thought I would show off my newest custom action figure from Berserk. I was tired of NOT having a Guts in Berserk Armor to fight my Zoddo figure, so I figured I would MAKE one. It is no where near exact, but I like to think of it as another form of Guts' Berserk armor (cuz it will change IMO!)

I used a Sauron LOTR figure and a neck/head from a Black Swordsman figure. Had to hollow out the neck joint and fit the neck post and head into the armor. Worked pretty well.

The head looks a little small due to the massive size of the armor, but if I ever want to make a helmet, it will fit just right over the top and actually the head IS supposed to be smaller like that. A person's face is supposed to be the size of their hand and this is in proportion. But it still looks a little funny...

I have since changed his head to the new Anime inspired Guts figure's head. it is just right, but still has his right eye, so I have to paint over it to make him look right.

I am trying to find a helmet ot put on him...

Looks totally awesome. If I had one, I'd paint it a dark red. That's just my perception of the color of the armor, certainly not Miura's. Damn... I really want one now.

I have since changed the head, but need to take pics and post them.

I also need to paint over the right eye since the anime inspired figure is of the Hawk Guts and not Black Swordsman Guts.

Give it a couple of months. I'm sure we'll see a figure of Guts wearing his berserk armor. One with a removable head so that he can wear the beast helmet and not wear it.

Here is the updated figure with new head. Newer head (off of Anime style Guts Hawk Soldier (older) is a little more in scale than the smaller head.

It is removeable and fully posable.

I used epoxy mixed with paint to do his "collar," but it came out a little messy...

Overall, it looks pretty good now IMO...

I don't know if the armor is supposed to be black or not...

It looks like it is the same color as his regular armor in the manga. Of course, the manga is in B&W!! ;)

I may try to darken the armor, but I don't think I will go all out black...

His armor does look like it is a dark black color. I may paint it a mettalic black if I find time. That may be cool. We will see...

Do'nt forget to use primer first, if you don't the paint may run right off.

All I did was cut off his head, clean out his insides, take a neck post from a Guts Hawk Soldier and glue into the hole in Sauron's body. Then I took the head off of a Guts Hawk Soldier (anime figure) and dremel out the neck, glue a neck post into the Guts head. I then filled in around the neck post with a black glue/apoxy filler and then attached the head to the neck post. It worked out really well and looks pretty decent IMO.

Next project: Guts nekkid! (kidding, kidding!)

No tin foil here...

Though I have a few more customs in the works, nothing is gonna happen any time soon. Too busy with school.
