My head a-splode! Those look awesome. The first one is spot on with the coloring. The only problem I could possibly have is the brightness of the blood on the top of the armor in that panel. Awesome job on the second one too. You do blood so well. The third is also good, but a little faded and not as remarkable.

Thanks!! Hm, I see what you mean about the brightness there. Funny how staring at something too long leaves you failing to notice stuff like that. The last panel was an experiment, trying for a more watercolorey look. I like it, but yeah, it's un-vivid.

Berserk blood is fun. It's like doodling on a notebook, sketching all the blackness into red. Kind of relaxing! :troll:

Your color choices and mixing are good, but it could use a little more contrast. Overall tho, looks great. Keep on postin' :)

Okay, finally, finally, I have another full page. YAY FIRE, fire gives me a good excuse not to come up with full pallet colors.

Am I the only one that thinks of 'dude' as a unisex and indeed all-purpose word? Kinda like 'bitch' in reverse.. Of course I never do catch on when a word (or indeed anything else) becomes unfashionable. I used to use 'king of' a lot too, after someone threatened to inflict a 'king of pain!!' upon someone else in some fansub, and I fell about laughing.

simple but effective. I could have handled a few more colors personally, but there really isn't anything technically wrong. I really dig the specular highlight on guts' eyeball the most.

Must... have... more...

For the umpteenth time, awesome work. The upper left hand corner seems to a be a bit speckled with white though. Makes it look a bit like it's done on canvas. I love the black line you left around the beast, but it seems a bit thick, at least around the left (the beast's left) ear. I think the last panel is really the star of the piece, the colors you used for Guts' eye are superb, they fit with the rest of the work but provide some contrast with the blue-ish base highlight.

Thanks guys!! And thanks for the feedback on this one, I did have the feeling that the top panel didn't achieve the 'oomph' of the last panel, but wasn't sure where else to go with it. I'll probably be back in a couple days, hat in hand, with some new drafts for critique!

Ok - second draft! Is this what you meant? I tried to fix the canvassey look and the outline too.. Thanks to Proj, I bounced this off him as well. :guts:

mmmm... good. That works for the scene.
I like it a lot better, and the thickness of the lines are no longer distracting. Any more crits on my part would be beyond nitpicking. It works. Very well.

Great job.

I painted over kind of a lot of the background, and it's way more black now than it used to be. The flame looks a bit canvassey, and I did try fixing that, but I didn't like it as much. That version is here:

Very nice as always, du...er...dudette. :void:  I like the 2nd version a little more than the first because I think it fits the previous page's coloration scheme a bit better.  Both are nice though.
