Aaz, Ramen4, Rhombaad, CnC, Scorpy, Grail, Handsome, Proj, Rick, Smith, Guts, Vlad... Thank you! :guts:

You guys really put a smile on my face, it's so cool. :serpico: I'll see if I can't get some Epic Ganishka done for you guys this weekend. Looks like I'll have time to get a color page or two done before the next episode...

CnC, feel free to paint all over this in an effort to illustrate sunlight technique. :daiba:

Oh and while I'm here, has anyone seen colors done for the page from the end of vol. 27, on the beach? CnC did a gorgeous paintover of the same beach in the morning but I'm looking for the 2-page spread that BiQ colored one panel of... http://www.lithrael.com/ig/albums/batchuploads/BiQ_smiling_caska.jpeg

Hehe, simple but very sweet Lith! :serpico: I guess I would have contrasted the difference between the shadow and the sunlight a little more, though. And maybe made the sky a little paler, like it is in the morning.

And I don't remember seeing a color of that spread of the beach except for the paintover CnC did. I'd love to see you color it.

Hehe. No need, as you've already got it down! Looks very nice. I'm really a fan of the mountains. Two things that stand out to me, tho. The sky is _very_ blue for a sunrise. I think a darker, less saturated blue might work better, but use a photo for reference. Also the shade of blue for the ground is good for what would be in shadow, but the two sides that aren't covered by Ganishka's shadow would recieve sunlight/cast shadows. So as much of a pain as it would be, you might want to brighted that up and paint in the shadows of the trees. It would really sell it, imo.

Well, regardless if it's been done, I think you should do it :guts:
That coloring of the beach spread I did years ago. It's got a ton of mistakes and should someone want to do it again I would have no objection whatsoever. So I think the same should hold true for the spread you're referring to. It's always interesting to see other people's thought process in approaching these pages.

Hmm, I think I might need more feedback on this one. I played with it for a while and got this:

(full res http://www.lithrael.com/berserk/295_22_wp2.jpg)

Which I think is better but still not really getting it.

Well it looks 10x times better, imo. If you are going for a sunrise some warmer tones in the sky might help. Still, it's looking great already.

Thanks as always, CnC & Proj. :serpico: I'm still not really getting this sunrise thing to gel. I just suck at extrapolating from reference photos. It looks fine but it still doesn't look... you know... Miura-badass XDXD

Latest try is here: http://www.lithrael.com/berserk/295_22_rev2.jpg

And just for fun I was messing with one of Ganishka's mutifaces. Don't need a crit on this one, I was just playin'. :ganishka:

Nice stuff Lith. I really like how you manage to make things so vivid and still pull it off. In my experience it is a pretty difficult task.
