Not really finished with this one, but spent a fair amount of time on it already and I figured I'll post it up here and get some comments while I take a break from it for a few days.
I want to add more detail to the background (a third layer of distant trees) and make Skull Knight's underarmor look more metallic. Thinking of doing the spikes on the armor as a silver accent color, but not sure since I see Skull Knight as being generally monochromatic and having 3 different materials in his armor rather than 2 reduces the prominence of the bone theme... Also want to do the horse's color myself instead of the black line colorization, but I'll need to see if I can handle that.
In general I want to achieve a sort of half-there look to this piece to emphasize Skull Knight's otherworldly nature, perhaps adding in some mist and messing around with his lines to reduce his appearance of solidity. But I'm not really anywhere near that point yet.
