With the film Serenity approaching, I thought I'd start a thread for any Browncoats about. Talk about your favourite episodes of Firefly, favourite characters, quotes, et al.

It reminded me of Outlaw Star, only superficially, since I never really watched either.

But for a film entitled "Serenity", it doesn't seem very "serene."

Yeah it reminded me of a bit of Outlaw Star too. But watching Firefly was boring as hell I gave it a try since ep 1 but I was nearly falling aslleep in each episode. It wasn't bad but I don't consider it to be good either.

I liked the show. It isn't a big investment of time since it is only 13 eps. Some people are absolutely in love with it.

There is actually some irony, there, but I won't give it away. Go get the boxset, it should be dirt cheap now, has all the eps and some great special features. You could do a lot worse.

I enjoyed the series.

Initially I was sceptical about the whole concept - but after a few episodes I really got into. The writing was excellent for the most part and the characters had a good on screen chemistry. Also, Kaylee is fucken gorgeous :guts:

I could hug you, sir. ;D I loved GvsE. You couldn't imagine my freakout when Richard Brooks (Henry) played the bounty hunter Early in the Firefly episode "Objects In Space".

Early: "You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?"
Simon: "What'd he do?"
Early: "Who?"
Simon: "The midget."
Early: "Arson. Little man loved fire."

I watched the whole series awhile ago and really liked it...seems they are gonna play it on foxtel in Australia soon which Is great.My fave character was jane hehehe.

I've been a Firefly fan for a long time (more a Joss Whedon fan), and can't wait to see Serenity. It'll be nice to see Joss do a movie himself. So if it ends up shitty this time it's all his fault. :serpico:

Firefly is great! Joss Whedon is a visionary sometimes! :guts: Firefly, Buffy, and he's even doing the Astonishing X-men now. If it makes any difference, I give Firefly my thumbs up as well. Also for anyone who might laugh at Buffy, it's actually quite good and you should give it a chance. (Hell, it went on for 7 seasons)
