I got myself a XPS GEN 2! That sale is over, but these ones will end on the 15. From studying these laptops, you can ask me which is right for you, but obviously just read the specs listed there and you should know what is right for you.

My heavy suggestions are to upgrade W/E you can, hard drive, Ram, battery, those are most important. If you think about it, you're getting %40 off those upgrades too. $100 more for more RAM, you'd be paying 60 for more RAM.

I'm still better than you
Dell's suck. Im certified with the pieces of shit and I hate them. The entire Marine Corps network uses them and they fucking suck. But they are cheap and come with warrenty. Other then that though... If at all, stay away from the Dell Latitude C610 and C640 models. They are poorly designed. There ventilation sucks and the default bios temperature control is botched to begin with (set to high to even kick start the fan). I have had many many many many HDD's just shit on themselfs. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with SaiyajinNoOuji, with Dells you're always playing Russian roulette. Not to mention practically every other laptop manufacturer has some kind of warranty.

I currently have an Acer aspire 1710 (Behemoth), which I use as a mobile desktop for 3d / Adobe. Its too big to be used as a word processor or business notebook. But since I'm not going to be joggin' with my laptop anytime soon, it works for me. So if that might be what you're going for, I recommend it.

Also their tech support rocks. Had a flicker on the LCD and they fixed it within the week.

As far as laptops are concerned, HP has pretty good professional solutions, and their customer service is good enough. Of course they're expensive, that's what makes the difference. Dell has been falling behind for years now.

Really? Well I don't think so. Those laptops also come with 3 year warrantys, and I didn't get a latitude which cost like 500 to 800.

While I have no experience with the XPS (which I've actually heard good things about), I do have experience with dell's tech support. I can safely say you'd almost have better luck fixing it yourself rather than deal with those f*ckers, warranty or no.

i just got this last month

i got a great deal on it... rebate $180 off and 15% off at office depot cause of my girls employee discount... regular price $1,129.99, my price $780

i love this computer but the graphics card is an ati... i was using it to play world of warcraft but got bored of it, so now it doesnt really matter...

a $150 rebate is still available for this model...

loving the wide bright screen(though my collection of wallpapers are now trash... some are photoshop savable)

That link didn't work for me.

As for widescreen wallpapers:

I like that place a lot

I agree. I have one of them and it has nothing to envy to a desktop
