Your Daily Internet Fix

What websites do you find yourself checking on a daily, if not HOURLY basis? If you could, give a description of why it's worth checking. Here's mine:

- SKnet (For laughs)
- Gmail (My preferred webmail site)
- CNN (To get mostly worthless news updates)
- SA Forums (When I'm extremely bored, I check FYAD and try to follow it.)
- TVIV (The Wikipedia of TV shows. It's how I keep up with the shows I watch: 24, and The Office).
- Washington Post
- Gamespot (Honestly, I can't stand their reviewers... yet, somehow I can't help but read them.)

The list is too short, which is partly why I'm posting this thread. I'd like more worthless shit to check (and I hate blogs). Help me out, SKnet!

Here's a somewhat related question that I'm going to toss out to everyone here:

There are a LOT of sites that I pretty frequently check, so much so that it's damn hard to keep track of everything nowadays, and I'm actually being forced to do some major organization and housecleaning.

How do you keep track of your daily/hourly website visits? I have recently been attempting to use Thunderbird (without much luck) so I can use it for the dual purpose of GMail and the RSS Reader to check a number of the news and blog sites that I read with RSS feeds.

Still, many of the sites that I read regularly, such as SK.net, and other (typically) forums do not have a way to easily manage the content -- If you read a forum regularly you are constantly carrying around junk in your head about which threads you've read most of before, where you left off in the middle of a thread, etc. Have you found any ways to ease the burden of this (aside from paying attention to general UI cues)?

The forum SKnet is built on, SimpleMachinesForum, has many features that aren't visible on the default theme (classic/monochrome), though they're visible with newer themes (such as Testing Grounds). A few of these features should help you out in your quest for more efficient browsing, and they're bookmarkable:

Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts.
Show Recent (last 10) posts

I personally don't often use these features, since I'm pretty vigilant about reading every post. But, if you guys like them, I'll implement them into the default theme.

PS: as a quick shortcut to test out the themes, use this link: http://www.skullknight.net/yabbse/index.php?theme=2

And substitute the 2 with:
6 for SKnet 2003 (Blue Theme)
7 for SKnet 2002 (Purple Theme)
8 for SKnet Testing Grounds

Well, I found the solution to my internet boredom, a plugin for Firefox called: "StumbleUpon". It works like an internet-wide "Am I Hot or Not," with ratings based on categories you select (flash games, politics, humor, news, cats etc.). So far, about 80% of the websites it's shown me are either entertaining or fucking hilarious. Try it out.

Heh, sounds very cool. Thanks for the link Walter!

Another reason why I love Firefox :guts:

anyways, I really don't have a consistant internet pattern. It's really more spontaneous then it is organized, but I am never good at being organized. I visit SK.net daily, and Amazon.com, but other then that is really spur-of-the-moment.
