underwear in Middle Age

Berserk forever
Hi, this is one of my ridiculous questions about berserk.
We've seen too many strip-off scenes in the manga,
Whenever I meet the hundreds of nudities, something odd hits on me.
There is always no Underwear, Why?
They say the history of underwear has been quite long.
So, people's underwear must have existed even in Middle Ages.
Then Miura didn't draw it for the sake of YA's much more issues?
Or any reason to do it?
I'd like to know the reason entirely and I am to keep a promise to tell my friend IT! 8)

Woops! that's pretty persuasive.
I think Miura very accurate man as we figure out from the manga.
Thus it doesn't make sense Miura skipped, forgot, or something.
I mean there should be sorta reason by Miura.
He can perfectly draw Middle-Age underwear if he's ever decided to do.
The Sorta Reasons are one of the followings(i guess)

1) YA's publisher urges Miura "more nudes! plz~ that's what can feed us."

2) the story always goes on very tensely, so there's no time to
be delayed by troublesome underwear. We know underwear is hard to be taken off(especially women's)

3) There was no proper stuff that might be called underwear in early Japan(till modern age) . Thus this is Miura's way to expose a tradition of his motherland.

4) Miura personally loathes underwear like many hollywood stars!!

5) Berserk's atmosphere is grotesque, real, devilish and primitive.
So wearing underwear can't fit anything above.

Look at me!

i can somewhat imagine Miura drawing some leather-spiked underware in. ahaha
I would think he just wanted to be more artistic using nudes. ?? :p

While underwear has existed for a long time, its total ubiquity is a product of the industrial revolution. It would not be too much of a stretch to believe that in the scenes where Gutts or Casca stripped these rough-and-tumble mercenaries would be without dainty briefs or complicated brassiere. In a more general sense, Miura may have neglected to give his characters underwear because undergarments are not especially part of the medieval schema. Whenever he drew underwear, then, anyone reading would have to stop and think about underwear for at least a split second. This pause might detract from an otherwise fluid presentation.

ranemaka13, if my joke on the board made you upset, you should have taken another way. and i'd have said to you "sorry" or something , if you did so.
I don't mean you take that joke seriously. It was Joke that made you so upset.
but don't be upset about that anymore.
It was nothing but a joke which can happen on any board but it remind you all of PD's god damn smiley. that's the problem.
I admit I was careless. but I want you to know there's no intention like that.
i don't want that joke to be taken issue here anymore.
I just mean let's talk about my topic seriously. that's all.
