Now to take it to the far fetched level. Do you think (u can slap me for this) Guts under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES would fight along side an Apostle?
I don't think its so far fetched. He'd probably accept the aid of the one apostle and the backstab it as soon as the death of the other was certain. It doesn't seem as likely that he would do this now, but back in his "do anything to win" days...

Far fetched? It looks like he's GOING to have to fight alongside an Apostle, unless he and the group can use the opportunity to just flee. Anyway, it wouldn't mean a premeditated truce or alliance with Ganishka, but simply a matter of convenience at the time for both of them. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, afterall.

I mean, they've already both established where they stand and Ganishka already willing to have Guts fight for him, so there's no doubts between them should they be thrust into battle. Ganishka's shorthanded, so he might very well tell Guts to pay back his debt by killing Apostles, and though Guts wont see it that way, what's he going to do? Leave the attacking Apostles alone just to spite him? Probably wouldn't work, especially if the Apostles assume they're together.

So, either they reluctantly fight together, or at least side by side, OR Guts and the gang take the opportunity to go their own way (in which case, they might still be fighting the same enemy concurrently). It depends on how preoccupied Ganishka and the Apostles are with each other and not Guts.

Hey.. Guts may even play along with Ganishika and then form a little aliance with that Kushan dude (sorry, i dont remember his name).

Silat, Bakiraka clan leader. I've always wanted to see him and Guts have a reunion of sorts as well, seems he's now in the same boat as Azan, so to speak. =)

Anyway, It'll be interesting to see if he and the Bakiraka assassins are at all involved in this battle. We haven't seen him since the last Apostle skirmish at the Castle, and he was very uneasy about all the supernatural revelations, to say the least (particularly all that evil, demon, hell looking stuff =). I'm assuming he still serves Ganishka, but he could have fled. In any case, I'd imagine whatever loyalty he has to the old Evil Emperor is rather fragile these days (and it was already superficial).

Perhaps Silat found out about the Kushan attack on Vritannis, and secretly spied on the Kushan land army or the city itself, and lo and behold found that Ganishka and his Pishacha army was there, along with Guts and co. . Maybe Silat will end up escorting the group to Roderick's ship??

What an episode. Thank you everyone; I Love when the Apostles show up, they make any scene look like something by Hieronymus Bosch.

I think what stops the idea of Ganishka relying on Guts for help from working is the question of does he know how fucked up Guts is now? Guts' current state from all his fighting has left him deleted: Ganishka's impressed that he's still alive, but after their conversation ended on such sour notes, I can't see Ganishka bothering with an un-negotiable Guts when he's got flying apostles to cook. It's still possible he can demand Guts' help (especially if he assumes Guts was able to summon the Blaze Rod), but there are other options besides Guts that are far more reliable.

Ganishka could instead heed Daiba's suggestion about gathering the remainding pishacha gana to go against the apostles in Vritanis. Not to mention the elusive land general we've yet to see. Ganishka himself can breeze (literally) through town to reform and zap any apostle he sees to aide his troops. He knows this isn't a daka-vs-apostle frontyard brawl to watch: this is a battlefield I see him taking a pro-active role in.

You raise a good point that the apostles fluttering around Ganishka have a clear view of Guts and his group. This information would be in Griffith's head, depending on how fast apostles can contact Griffith for his response, if any, to them. Guts, seeing those apostles, must realize Griffith's nearby and this might give him pause to stick around and see what's up with Griffith. Of course, the apostle's reactions/purpose is a blank right now, (other then assuming they'll distract Ganishka, but I don't know if he'll fall for that again) so that's another variable to factor. However, in the current situation with Guts, Skull Knight's words to him and Schierke about protecting Casca or challenging Griffith are becoming realized.

As cool as that sounds, I don't see it happening, as there has been no foreshadowing on Silat's return as opposed to Azan's. Not that it's impossible, but I don't see the Bakiraka prince showing up at the harbor to escort the man who (embarrassingly) kicked his ass twice years ago out of harm's way. Especially with Ganishka towering in the vicinity.

a bunch of Kushan casters or something else has yet to be seen, but it's the most plausible possibility to me right now. They're probably in a boat hidden somewhere (I'd even say a submarine but that'd be a bit too much) and protected by Makara
Going back to the ep. a lot of apostles seem to be in a way aquatic or at least related to water, jelly for one ,than, there's the guy that looks like a whale with wings, and another that to me resembles a croc (also winged). So it is possible that they will execute some sort of combined attack on Ganishka and on whatever seems to be allowing him to summon the fog. I agree that a sub would be a little out there, a boat of some sort is more likely an option.

Hi all. My first post here. Lots of reading by my side all around the forum but it´s time to get some typing :guts:

The thing that got me going was that comment about Anti-Griffith apostles. I really believe there is a chance Guts would consider their help, in case they ever show up. I mean, who would have predicted Guts would be by now surrounded by a bunch of people? It´s obvious at some point there will be some kind of duel between Guts and Griffith (if everything goes according to plan), but how about the rest of the unmeasurable troops Griffith posseses? Can Guts and company take on them all? I just don´t see it, unless they outsmart them, and until this moment Griffith is shown as a God with a perfect plan.

I don´t see it so strange if an apostle appear and both sides convince each other to fight side by side. He might be similar to SK, with some kind of feeling about his destiny and the need to help destroy Griffith.

For instance, it could happen after a fight between Guts and the apostle(who gets beaten by guts of course) that both sides realize they want to fight Griffith. The dying apostle might want to redeem himself and ask Guts for forgiveness offering himself to be a part of the group. Guts might want to kill him but the rest of the group would convince him to let the apostle join. Puck would heal him and there you have it.

As I see it, Guts is in his way to establish an army to combat Griffith in what would be The Final Battle.

Don´t be harsh on my opinions now :troll:

Hello Heimdal... and welcome to thze SK-net-board.

Well, your speculation is in some ways not too far fetched, because asuming from what Ganishka said, there is the possibility of other apostles out there who oppose or just don't obey griffith.
but I really can't see Guts forming an alliance with one of them. I think in the latest episode, he made it rather clear. If he had joined force with Ganishka, he would've had an army on his side to fight Griffith and the other Apostles... but firstly the priority right now is Caska and secondly joining forces with an apostle would imo be totally out of charakter at the moment.

If he joined forces with Ganishka, Guts would ultimately be fighting FOR Ganishka's goal. An evil goal mind you. Plus the demon army of Ganishka's wouldn't be on Gut's side, they'd be on Ganishka's. That would not happen. Guts fighting for an apostles cause as opposed to his own. Now an Apostle fighting for the same goal as Guts (the fall of Griffith for whatever reason), I can see...albeit it will probably never happen. But I think it would add a very interesting internal struggle for Guts; accepting the aid of his sworn enemy. But as was pointed out, Guts and Co. will indeed face the Neo-Hawks one day, an army comprised of apostles, so accepting a little rogue apostle aid wouldn't be a stupid thing...just something difficult to fathom. Hopefully by then Guts will by his side: The current group, Azan, Silat and his four jacked bodyguards. Plus there's always good Ol' Skully. :SK: Guts cannot attain his goal by himself, I think that is clear. So I'm sure we will see some interesting additions of individuals (some we know and some we've yet to see) joining Guts and Co.
In the end, we can speculate until we're blue in the face. We just will have to wait and see what Miura gives us.  :miura:

Do i see a character addition to the group when they reach Elfhelm... Hmmm..  :serpico: We are in need of new blood  :carcus:

Roderick and Magnifico really just came in. Months for us...days to the story.

Those two are characters like Jerome and the prostitutes..

I don't know I think they'll be around for a little longer than the prostitutes.

Maybe Farnese's brother will make it to Elfhelm and return home with a somewhat enlightned view on magic. That is if there's somewhere to return to. Because you just know while Guts and his group is in Elfhelm, Griffith will be establishing that kingdom of his.

As for the other guy (forgive me, I forget which is which) I could see him dying before they even leave port. Maybe getting on the boat he catches a stray arrow in the throat (sorry, just got done playing some God of War).

I kind of see Roderick and Magnifico sticking around for a while. Certainly Roderick will be with the group during the time they're on his ship (if they get there, but I'm being positive). As for Magnifico, I dunno, he's been providing pretty good comic relief, what with his jaw hitting the floor everytime something new happens (that and having Puck constantly chuckling at him). I don't see them as being the temporary characters that Jerome and the prostitutes were, though.

hmmm, wouldn't it be interesting if Griffth became involved in this conflict and we finally saw a true expression of his power...say humbling Ganishka somehow, if not outright killing him...maybe the stage is set... maybe this will the beginning of an escalation...

seriously though, I cant really see it...it seems as though Ganishka will be around for some time, given his rather powerful ability. He is another I would like to see enter the fray with a little more prominence- show his might, as it were.
