Incomplete sacrifice?

Was the Griffith's sacrifice... incomplete?

Ok, they gave the Hawks.

But the most important people - or at least the one who caused his "fall" and the one that put him like a god - to him escaped.

It was fulfilled. They're branded, remember? They've been sacrificed like the others. Dying is secondary, it's the branding that matters. It dooms them whether they live or die. So his sacrifice is complete and that's why he often said he didn't care about Guts as Femto.
