The book has been out for quite a while but I just recently finished reading it. It's an interesting read for anybody interested in New Testament studies. I've always been opposed to the mythicist theory though after reading Doherty's book I accept it as a possibility.
I don't fully agree on his treatment of the 'brother of the Lord' passage in Galatians or his treatment on Q since the document hasn't survived. The Gospels as midrash don't nessecarily prove his theory either.
I'm an agnostic so it doesn't matter either way. His website http://www.jesuspuzzle.com/ is also worth a browse.
