The best of Wolverine from the X-Men cartoon, first a nice primer:

And a little more in-depth Wolvie action, with even a little Shadow of Colossus action at the end:

You can also basically find any episode you want to watch on youtube, well worth it for drama of this quality. =)

"Why don'cha go BACK to the FREAKshow?!" I love the horrible Nicholson impersonation the guy does in the bar scene (a bar scene, in a saturday morning cartoon?! Awesome!)

Yeah really, not only that, but it's to blow off steam after another character is killed right off the bat, and he was made up for the series just to get killed to boot. Best Saturday morning cartoon ever (and with Batman: TAS holding down weekday afternoons after school, we had a privileged childhood =).

Agreed. And it's odd that there has been NOTHING that has come close to the level Batman was on when it aired.

Oh man, I loved this show. Still do. I've seen bits of the new TMNT show, but it looked pretty awful.

For comparisons sake, let's look at the evolution of cartoons into the future and beyond... all the way to year 2003:

X-Men Evolution

Wow, a Wilhelm-like stock scream, that about sums it up for me.

Batman Beyond

Uhh, when did I turn on Serial Experiments Lain? I can't believe Batman went metrosexual for his replacement.

TMNT (2003)

This one is easily the worst offender, I don't even have a sarcastic jab because it's so blandly cliché that literally nothing stood out in the over-stylized mediocrity. Okay, the mixed CGI effects look like total shit, there.

Seriously, what the Hell happened? To Batman and... everything.

While I was still in school, I happened to catch a screening of a supposedly "uncut" version of the batman beyond movie (I wasn't really familiar with the series so I had no idea what to expect). The movie wasn't bad. Not great, not terrible.
Sorry to hear the tv series was drek, tho.

Each of those intros violated my eyes, then hunted down my inner child and beat him with sticks. Very large sticks. That left splinters.

Apparently everything has to be stylized anime crap these days, too.

I think the problem with morning cartoons is the children them selves, easy solution? Boost American economy sell your children as slave labor.

Who thought up the new Ninja Turtle series? What a fucked attempt on trying to be a new fresh angle for the turtle generation.

Yeah, I was a big fan of Futurama back in the day. I can't enjoy the previous seasons anymore, seen them too many times, this should be good. My only concern is they try too hard and fuck it up, like when animation series try to make movie length specials.

Anywho, Mrs Garrison's reluctant class of evolution. ;D

A short post to agree with everyone's sentiment so far. I loved the old X-men show in spite of its numerous shortcomings, and its intro music will forever be awesome. All these new shows are lame and are likely the reason kids these days are all retards (:troll:), and the incoming Futurama movies are going to be awesome (I hope).

And now, LEGO Half-Life: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb1DgiJdEBI

This is kinda spoilerish:

it's the monologue at the end of Chaplin's The Great Dictator. One of the greatest speeches ever. Worth your time, even if you have no interest in the rest of the movie.

The vid is 1:30 long. But the payoff occurs in the first ten seconds. It's scary how well she plays it off.

*Projectile vomit* "So how's everyone doing?"

Saw this on TV last weekend. I admire her work ethic :serpico:

It actually reminds me of when I pulled a similar manuever in third grade. I was in front of the class, writing on the chalk board. I felt suddenly ill and puked all over the board, but CONTINUED WRITING, not missing a beat. I was determined to solve that math problem. Plus, it was embarassing, and there's no better way to recoup from that than simply pretending that nothing happened. But the teacher stepped in and foiled my plans. I was sent home where I subsequently watched TMNT 2 on VHS at least 3 times.

That was a pretty good story, but here's a more disgusting one. I must have been in the 1st or 2nd grade, and at the end of the day we'd have to wait in line until the bell rang and we were released back into the care of our parents. I had to go to the bathroom really bad but I'd decided to go after I got home because my house was like a 3 minute drive. While I was waiting in line with a couple minutes before release I completely diarrhea shitted my pants. Our uniform pants were beige, and you could see it seeping through my pants seat and back of my legs. I tried to play it off cool until the "what's that smell" comments started coming in. When the bell rang I made a mad dash for my mom's car and told her what happened. She made me sit on the floor in the back seat until we got home. I can't remember what I did when I went home but I probably went home and fucked around on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Maybe Rygar or Karnov, those were good games. :guts:

As for you Rakshas. Fuck it. I'll chime in. I went to South America...drank the water; got a little stomach thing. I eventually wind up back in the US. Everything is ok, stomach is meh. I'm in the car on the way to pick up RE4 for GC and I have to fart. I thought it was safe...it wasn't. :isidro: All I'll say is that it was an interesting ride back home.
