Well damn I thought some of you would've enjoyed the satire. =/

That attempt was an insult to satire, as confirmed by the fact that the guy had to point out it was "satire" in the description. =)

Memories...
You and Aaz covered nearly all the bases with those posts. But I felt we're still missing a few of my childhood favorites:

And I also stumbled onto some horrible misfits that I couldn't help but mention:

Fucking LOL. I love how straight they try to play it in the commentary. "Two guys .... mm mm mmm. Trying to make light of a bad situation."

Is it an accurate representation or is there a catch somewhere?

From what I can see it's pretty accurate. I blame the Teacher Unions. For the most part in Maryland [for example] the best teachers will go to the private schools first, then the magnet schools, then the better performing public schools then if they have no more options they will go to the schools in Baltimore city.

As a punishment for kids that can't stay out of trouble while in public school, schools will send those kids to the worst Baltimore city public schools. Talking to my friend that was sent to one of the schools, he was saying how he would be walking to his class then just randomly get attacked by a group of kids.

I can't really blame teachers for not wanting to go there, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXOG5kq1c60 but the Unions really go all out to prevent parents from getting vouchers so they can send their kids to a better school.

So I ventured right and left after clicking Bob's link and stumbled on this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx4pN-aiofw

Funny you should add this here Aaz, I just added this in the presidential election section earlier, here's a piece he wrote describing it in a bit more detail if you're interested.

What does that have to do with the ABC error page?

ABC error page? the page isn't an error page, it's a written commentary by John Stossel on that programme. If you're getting an error page that's just you, try using it on a different internet source like Firefox or something.

Huh, works now. I tried it on firefox the first time and I got an error page.

Sanguinius what's your political stance on this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMYLXcHI0Sk&NR=1
Personally I'm opposed to it at first, but proposition 24 is probably really necessary.

I agree with proposition 24, there is a need for the extension of Dingo legs, if the Kangaroos can go up to 35 mph it's just not fair that Dingos can't. If we want a truly egalitarian society how can we not support a bill that'll bring equal speed to all mammalian lifeforms in Oz land?

P.S. Just to clear up the doubts, if there're technical problems with the implementation, I think we'll have to introduce proposition 48 and have the kangaroos speed reduced. It's just not fair that you have some galloping ahead in society and leaving others behind, what could be fairer than that?

Ohhh, interesting coincidence indeed. Thanks for the link. Anyway, that's pretty scary to be honest, especially how it sounds like it's incredibly widespread.

Regardless of what was done to get this result, I'd rather not eat meat from it.
