That was really not exciting.

Actually I just don't care. Is this store the only hobby you have? Dude do something else.

For my bad luck it's where I spent most of the time working at. Believe me if I could change jobs, I would. I am just going through some legal stuff that won't let me find a job at the moment.

Well that sucks, but I for one am tired of hearing about your store. There is nothing particularly interesting about it.

OK, I won't saturate the threads more with uninteresting stuff about this place. But I will show you something later whenI get home that you will like.

So ironic that these video-game April Fools gags end up being some of the coolest ideas.

Worth every fan of id Software's time. A Visit to id Software in 1993, shows off a pre-release DooM (at about the 9:40 mark). Fast forward through the old dude talking. It's awful.

You can get a sense of how new Doom's elements seemed at the time when John Romero pulls out a chainsaw in the game and someone watching exclaims, "Geez, chainsaws! Unbelievable!"
It's so awesome that they've recorded people's initial reactions to one of the defining games of ... gaming. And especially neat to hear Carmack and Romero's own comments about the game while in the company of friends, ya know, just showing off this fun game they made -- and not just some PR bullshit.

I thought the concept was pretty hilarious, but it's still not over-the-top enough. There needs to be a John Woo sequel to this, with the guy eating two bowls of cereals (one in each hand) while falling off a church balcony surrounded by doves taking flight. To organ music. In slow motion.
