There's a bunch of them... Even though I've watched most of them a bunch of times, I have mixed feelings on the whole thing.

Hiroaki Samura, creator of Blade of the Immortal, at work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPuLkntKyRc&feature=youtu.be

How awesome would it be to have something like this of Miura working...? :daiba:

I've never watched a manga artist go through the process of creating a scene like this. What was really interesting to me was his use of the eraser for shadowing and the background. I wonder how long it took for him to draw that? I remember on one of the Berserk movie promos, Miura said he pumps out about a page a day. It must take an incredible amount of patience to do this day in and day out. I could see Miura being the kind of artist who would scrap a final print because he found a minor flaw as well.

Though Miura seems like a very private person, I agree that it would be an absolute treat to have him in a similar video.

Well, we know he's scrapped an entire episode before

I understand the guy is shy, but there's just so little we know about him it's bizarre. Other mangaka are pretty open with their lives. That being said, he does do interviews semi-regularly, we just don't get translations for them.

I don't think Miura is exceptionally private. Not all artists put themselves out there, and like you said, he's actually done his fair share of interviews and such. They're just not brought to us. Besides he's not as much of a "star" as the mangaka that are frequently put in the limelight.

I was having flashbacks to 7ish years ago when I was still in highschool and playing around with Garageband during free periods.

it's disgusting and funny at the same time.
I had heard about something similar, the 1,050 bacon burger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugIDfvUpcwY&feature=relmfu

Apparently the Japanese Burger King really isn't fucking around when they say "Have It Your Way, You Fucking Fatass Monster."

I'm pretty sure he got sick at the end.Too bad I'm not fluent in Japanese.
Oh you should watch the McDonald's one, where he mixes french fries and milk shake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hA5bkba3t8
I'm not sure if I should be disgusted or not.I love french fries and milk shake separately , but I haven't tried them together....NAH it's disgusting.

Grab a fry and dunk it on a shake. It actually tastes as if it was a cake. I do that from time to time whenever I have both at my disposal.

This was the recording of me popping a blister on my foot about a month after cryotherapy. Dumb shit of a doctor used direct liquid nitrogen contact for an excessive amount of time, very unprofessional - couldn't walk for over a month.
Not much English other than cursing but the context is more than clear. Pretty disgusting, particularly the last few minutes.

I closed it after 2 seconds. That's totally fucking gross, dude.

Uhhh, welcome back? I guess? This is what you were waiting 2 years to post?

Well that sure was boring to watch. Hope you denounced that doctor in a way or another though. Totally unprofessional, like you said. So, anyway, how's it going?

If you ever get one of your own, you would start to see it less as gross and more as painful and inconvenient. But yes, that was of course the appeal to upload it.

What can I say, was a spur of the moment post. If you must know, I was thinking about a scene where Guts was struggling to walk well which inadvertedly made an association with my own foot memories. From there my thinking pattern transitioned to Berserk - skullknight.net - adventures in youtube and here I am..

And thanks for the warm welcome I wasn't seeking. I forgot how much I missed that playful, subtle disdain in some of your messages. It's kinda nostalgic and I'm actually not being completely sarcastic in saying that.

Yeah, I thought about what I wanted to say to him many times in my mind, but In the end it was done. Paying to go into his office and call him an incompetent nip (more eloquently) just didn't seem worth it and I certainly didn't want to pay for his services for anything of significance a second time.

So, anyway, how's it going?

Yeah not bad man, been travelling around a bit which has lead to more food poisoning in recent months than I cared to experience - we should have a proper convo in the chatroom sometime :carcus:
Master of the obvious moment but I imagine you noticed that I'm not much of a internet poster anymore. In all honesty I got to the point where I felt there wasn't much I could contribute to the forums anymore that hadn't been covered already or by someone who knows the story better.. especially considering the lack of new information to discuss in recent years. Still a big fan though, of course :rakshas:

^ 4:12 eehhh vortex of souls? Man, I had to turn that off within a second as soon as you started to move the needle close to your foot.

This's such a great series

Oh yeah, I didn't mean taking an appointment, more like sending a letter to an organism overseeing medical practice to say he should have his medical license revoked. If that can help prevent the same thing from happening to someone else... Or worse, who knows. One complaint probably wouldn't be enough to get him in serious trouble, but if other people who've had problems do the same...

Nothing too novel in it but very well narrated I think.
