why not? there are still lots of bands using Atari ST machines. You rather use these machines as Sequencers than for creating sounds.
The first Cubase programme was for the C64 which IMO opinion is still the best computer ever made
(though there could be some minor problems, running Doom III)

strange. The ST had a better sound chip in the past, but hirasawa is using amiga 4000 which i think is mostly mac hardware these days and lotsa musicians use macs for making electronic music.
i for example love the sound of the C64 SID chip, analog sound synthesis, but it's very well emulated in the cubase plugin QuadraSID.

the amiga used to have Motorola CPUs in it and i always thought these processor types were also used in macs.
not right?
Haven't used a real Amiga since 92 and i never had a Mac. Just sit in front of one from time to time for curiosity.
