Movies to look forward to

Looks like James Gandolfini.
Considering he looked like Tom Hardy before that's impressive. :troll:

Torso looks good, but those arms could be bigger. I read he put on about 30lbs of muscle and something ridiculous and not credible like he wanted to put on 200lbs of total weight. I mean, he should look big, but there's no way the guy is going to look like Bane without special effects anyway. Though, I hear Aaron Eckhart really did burn off half his face for the last movie, and Christian Bale is having his parents shot down before his eyes to ensure this is the best Batman ever. Nolan!

After seeing more footage and looking at the reviews coming in this past week, I've changed my mind and am looking forward to seeing X-Men: First Class this weekend.

People are saying it's the best X-movie to date, which is not a very hard task. Dunno if i'll watch it in the cinema though.

I'm looking forward to it with low expectations as usual. I did read something a few months ago that said it was going to steal the show this summer at the theater, but that seems a tad optimistic - 'specially with Osama dead and the Captain America movie coming out. :troll:

I'm still not convinced, honestly. A rental at best for me.

I'm looking forward to J.J. Abrams' new movie, Super 8.

One movie I'm not sure if I should look forward to this winter is the remake of The Girl with the Dragon tattoo. I saw a trailer of it at before X-Men: First Class and it looks decent, but it's still to early to tell. I heard they've changed the ending from the novel, so that might be the deciding factor right there.

I'm breaking my own rule to, when it doubt, error on the side of "dread."

I've seen that trailer before and read some reviews from last year's sundance, it seems like a good movie (not like the typical indie drama the trailer is trying to portray).
Actually i was sold just for the first 10 seconds :ganishka:

Oh shit ... gory, intense with some bite and looks EPIC (after the middle of the trailer is done)

A Dangerous Method, David Cronenberg’s latest:

Starring Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley, Vincent Cassel and Sarah Gadon and based on the play by Christopher Hampton, the film centers on the conflict between Sigmund Freud (Mortensen) and his pupil Dr. Jung (Fassbender). Seduced by the challenge of an impossible case, the driven Dr. Jung takes the unbalanced yet beautiful Sabina Spielrein (Knightley) as his patient. Jung’s weapon is the method of his master and both men fall under Sabina’s spell.

It’s really the story of the first ever porno, Jung Sluts. Shortly followed by the sequel, Hung Like Jung.

Aha, that last line. Least successful legal defense: "Sometimes you have to do something unforgivable just to go on living."
My official brief synopsis is that Carl Jung happens upon a psychological insight for the ages: crazy chicks are the best in the sack.
Definitely looking forward to this one. It’s kind of like Secretary, but with a prettier setting and enough historical context so you can feel like you’re learning something while you wait for the sex scenes.

With that director and that cast, I'll definitely be seeing it. I loved History of Violence and Eastern Promises, so I can't wait to see the next Cronenberg/Mortensen flick. Thanks for giving us the heads up, NightCrawler!

Yeah, although it seems Viggo plays a supporting character in this one. Fassbender and Knightley are the leads.
We'll see how it goes, i like everything that Cronenberg does, and my prediction for Fassbender becoming the next big thing might become closer to reality with this movie.

Me too, I especially love Eastern Promises. And it looks like Viggo won't be the one showing his bare ass in this one. A must see for sure.

Nice! I like Fassbender and Knightley has never really bothered me (people say she's not a good actress, but to be honest, if someone is speaking with a British accent, I just can't tell). I'll check out the YouTube video when I get home from work. I think your prediction about Fassbender becoming the next big thing will definitely come true.

Thanks for posting that link, Oburi! Despite some initial apprehension, I'm looking forward to seeing Middle Earth on the big screen again.

definitely looking forward to the Hobbit too. It looks like the project is finally on the right track. Love the warm photography and the dwarves in the background.

Yea, and it's nice seeing Bilbo's house just the way it was in LOTR. I'll admit I can't wait to see it, these images bring me right back to when I first watched Fellowship in theaters some ten years ago.

This actually looks interesting to me, even more because this is being directed by Tarsem, the director of The Cell and The Fall.
