I've only listened to 2 albums released this year and I've enjoyed them both.

Barenaked Ladies - All In Good Time
The first single 'You Run Away' > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh53skmT-uQ

The actual video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiS7oZCIuN8 (But the audio seems too quiet)

Coheed and Cambria - Year Of The Black Rainbow
The first single 'The Broken' > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-U6NKKCwJU

I have been listening to a lot of Mega Man lately. I know I'm a nerd. :farnese:

I reeaaly want to get that new coheed album! How does it compare to the other ones?

The album has some parts that are similar to the earlier albums, but there are a lot of changes to their sound.

Some fans love it and some hate it. I personally like all 5 of their albums.

The producers for the new album have worked with Tool and Nine Inch Nails, this should give you an idea of what to expect.

You can stream the album from: http://www.myspace.com/coheedandcambria

I haven't listened to all of the album on the stream (I bought the album).

I'm listening to the Killer Instinct soundtrack here one of the sounds:

Holy shit. Lol i haven't heard this since i was a kid. Crazy nostalgia right there.

Played Killer Instinct on the SNES at my friend's place earlier. I really liked Glacius' music so I looked it up on YouTube and found this remix. I really like it for some reason. I don't usually listen to stuff like this

Killer Instinct did come out on the SNES. You're thinking of Killer Instinct 2 on the n64 (which was just awful).

Speaking of games and music, I've been listening to the soundtrack for Shatter, a little downloadable game that can be described as a modern-day Breakout.

Right now I'm listening to Faith No More (at this very exact moment: Ricochet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ob6O0GEMK0) and seriously thinking about buying a ticket to ilosaarirock rock festival (2 days in july) because of nothing else but this. It sucks that that festival only sell 2 day tickets, absolutely no other band in their list interests me enough to warrant going to a rock festival...

Other stuff I listen nowadays is... well... Desert Planet. And if you have spotify, here is a public playlist http://open.spotify.com/user/tommituura/playlist/0FJAyCErqnpKPLYGx5yEsq that I'm using to entertain & occasionally torture myself and my fellow co-workers (don't ask) these days. That list is *really* meant to be played on random. Contents of that list is also subject to change at my whims whenever I feel like it.

EDIT: Hell yeah, I went there for FNM and was not disappointed!

Right now i am listening to Mastodon's "Crack the Skye". Wonderful record! Everyone that likes Metal, a little Progressive Rock, Rock'n'Roll and Melody will love this record! It is amazing.

I tried that Mastodon album on a similar recommendation, but I just can't get past the screaming.

Hehe, okay, than you got problems with mastodon, definitely. You wouldn't find anything else than screaming on the other records ;). But maybe you could try it with
Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, ASG - Win us over or The Sword - Age of Winters. These three albums have those sludge elements or those proggy elements without screaming :) But a badass riffing.

I saw that on steam, is it any good? I was thinking about getting it. I really dig that song, too.

To stay on topic: Pink Floyd: The Wall

Shatter is a lot of fun, but it's over very quick (~3 hours). It has some replay value, but I honestly haven't touched it since I've beaten it.

New Eyes set to Kill album that just came out. Its ok, but it hasn't really grown on me yet. It sucks because Eyes set To Kill was pretty decent post hardcore band and their first album was amazingly good. But then they lost their lead female singer and one of the other girls took over. She's ok, but nothing like the original singer. Its like I really want to keep listening to them but I think they just keep getting worse and worse, which is a shame.
