Hey, it's the guys with the adorable singing dinosaur! I approve.

Possibly the most album cover art ever, next to Sigur Ros' "( )."

I think this one has that beat by a mile in that regard. They also deserve the award for trying the hardest to look like they're not trying hard. =)

Haha. I don't even have the cover; who buys cds nowadays?

Regardless, the album itself is good.

this is good, too:

After going through some of my old boxes of albums I found this old gem.

IMHO this is without a doubt one of the best live albums ever. It's actually remarkable. I'm not even big on Led Zeppelin's studio albums, and this is the reason why. They are such an amazing live band. I'm so happy I found this :guts: And it's from 1972, when they were in their prime.

I'm sure some of you are aware of the new Arcade Fire album coming out on August 3rd. Its called the Suburbs and I can't wait. It's been 3 years since they released Neon Bible and this album is over an hour in length (yes!) here's the title track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAitZuh4ueg&feature=related

Love it!

I've never been a big fan personally. The guy's voice grates on me, and I think it's overly sentimental. But, I understand why it's popular.

I am enjoying the new Arcade Fire album. Buuuut I think I still like Neon Bible better than this one. Suburbs is clearly a grower, so that feeling may change in time. I've liked it more and more each listen. Favorite track so far is 9.

I feel the same way. It does get better the more you listen to it, but I still don't think it beats Neon Bible (and of course Funeral is in a league of it's own). But it's still a great listen. And yes, track 9, Suburban War, is my favorite as well, mainly because of the last few minutes of the song. The first three or four tracks are also really catchy too.

Great album. Plus I can kinda relate to the lyrical content :serpico:

I've never listened to Nujabes, and it sounds pretty good! I'll keep em at the back of my mind when I get music. Any albums/ songs you recommend?

pretty much any of his albums are great. Nujabes was all about chill hip-hop like music. heres a nice example:

usually just instrumentals, but he features a bunch of great hip-hop artists as well:

he died this year, but im sure he has a bunch of tracks sitting in his closet. which im sure will make up his new album.

I bought Avenged Sevenfold's new album, Nightmare, on Saturday and I really like it, even though they switch to a new drummer half way through. Their old drummer, The Rev, died of an overdose last December. Unfortunately, that changes the tone of the songs that The Rev didn't perform, but the album is still very well done.

I hate those guys. Their older stuff was so awesome I always listened to it when I was kid but I've never been impressed by the new stuff.

To be honest, I just started listening to them. I'll have to check out some of their older albums; I figure if I like their new stuff, I'll really like their older material.
