What are you listening to? (general music thread)

Thanks for sharing, it's damn cool! Love the effects on the video and the Euro~esque beat and feel to it. I'm a sucker for old school Euro music. As a kid, this one channel on TV would show 30 minutes of a show called Eurotops once a month, and I taped 2-3 shows on VHS (sure it's lost now) but I remember those songs and it's fun finding them online once in a while!

I've heard that since childhood, whereas the one I posted sounds like someone used the soundboard from Mega Man X to reproduce the Wily theme from MM2. And that's pretty cool.

Keeping it movin: Mario Paint medley of every major Nintendo game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbO1YtoUqM8

Yeah, I still dig that version you posted. It's pretty crazy. I never realized there were so many remixes of that, damn.

Heh, glad you dig it. They actually created the effects using a Kinect. Pretty darn neat.

That's impressive. If we're doing nintendo, this is one of my favorites. Ugh, so pretty. Koji Kondo is a mastermind.

Maryland Death Fest is sick, so many good crust and death metal bands every year. A bit too pricey for me at the moment though, I'm already going to 2 other fests in the next couple of months.

Awesome album. It's one of those albums that's definitely helpful when going through a tough breakup.

I was in the middle of listening to Judas Priest's song "Killing Machine" on my iPod, when my friend on Facebook informed me that their guitarist KK Downing had just quit the band

Few weeks ago I saw Of Mice And Men (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ouLLdlRJjo) Sleeping With Sirens and I Set My Friends On Fire. It was for sure the most intense show I've been. Ended up on stage with band after crowed surfing only to jump right back in. :guts: Needless to say, I was very much hurting the next day.

Then last night I saw Circa Survive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAp3uAk-poo) and Taking Back Sunday, who had their original lineup from the Tell All Your Friends days. One of the best shows I've seen, and I'm not even that big on TBS.

Currently listening to the new Silverstein album.

So into this, thanks for posting!

It's like if Glenn Danzig and Johnny Cash had a baby.

I've been listening to a lot of alternative country, or goth-country as some would call it. Dark southern americana. Most of which was introduced to me by the great Dax Riggs (from Acid Bath fame) and all his pojects. You guys should check him out. His lyrics are amazing too. Not compromising on that is one of the main reasons he hasn't gone mainstream.

Love this videoclip:

Nadja's good fun, I love em. They're just hard to keep up with because there's a release or two every year! Jesu's new one is a hit and a miss with me, some tracks remind me of Conqueror while others are decent. I'll buy it on vinyl when it comes out. My favorite Jesu albums are Heartache, Jesu, Silver, Conqueror and Infinity.

That's pretty much every major release by them :p
I've listened to this one and i don't like it. My favorites are Jesu and Silver. Heartache is good too, and so is Sun Down / Sun Rise. Everything after that just sounds rehashed and uninspired.
