I can't get into that album and I love Nile a lot, don't get me wrong! I'd rank their albums in this order - Amongst The Catacombs, Annihilation, Festivals Of Atonement, Black Seeds and then there's everything else. Ithy and Those Whom are like versions Annihilation 1.1 and Annihilation 1.2.

Good to see another metal listener *thumbs up*

I missed seeing him perform live about a week or 2 weeks ago but I hope to catch him again soon enough since he's from NYC (I think) and I hope hope he gets to collaborate in a close friend's project. Here's one of my favorite songs from Oneirogen (one man band) called Mutilation. Clearly space themed. The build-up from the beginning is good and then 3:39 happens #goosebumps#

Numina's another really good song where the lead guitar gives it such depth - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9lvph8OOWo

Yeah I seem to be in the minority with the new album. I just like the great riffs they came up with, very memorable. Annihilation is definitely my favorite, the rest fall in whatever order I'm in the mood to listen to.

New Daft Punk is pretty good. Random Access Memories. Took a few listens to really warm up to it but now I got some of the tracks groovin in my head all day. Some are definitely better than others though.

Lately I've been attempting to get into the new Sleeping with Sirens CD. I loved the past two but this one is a little harder to get into. I've also been listening to a lot of stuff that I did in High School. So that's a lot of the Doors, Beatles, Johnny Cash, Elliott Smith and some mainstream alt rock I used to listen to all the time on the radio (Hawthorne Heights, +44, Story of the Year, Relient K, Adema etc.). There are some artists or songs that I had liked years ago that I just hate now and I wonder what I was thinking by liking it years ago.

A friend sent this to me ... atmospheric and the tone after the minute mark's pretty hypnotic ... gonna pick em up on cassette soon.

NightCrawler

Aeons gone, vast, mad and deathless
The best garage rock/punk band of the the last 10y broke up again, after reforming this year. Bah, and i never got to see them live. Such an underappreciated and underrated band, often imitated by more popular acts that came after them. I'm talking of course of The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster. If you like Edgar Wright's movies, you probably heard them before without knowing.

Even the only upload of one of their videos is crappy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrROZRbeap8

Been listening to Araabmuzik's chill new remixes album, here's a track off it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYktmli7-uQ&feature=youtu.be

I like Araab's version ^_^

OC Remix's FFVI album, just finished listening to the core 4 discs a couple of nights ago. Delightful, except the dubstep-esque and shitty metal remixes... which are in the minority, luckily. The Queen-esque Opera scene remix is so much damn fun! Give it a whirl:

I don't normally like this kind of music, but this is pretty awesome.

By this kind of music, do you mean rap in general, or this current type of rap.

Music where the guy is talking about a premium kind of weed that makes him feel like he's flying through space.

New Arcade Fire anyone??

I really enjoy it. Slightly different from what they've done in the past, yet still contains a few of those classic goosebumpy moments of brilliance.

I haven't been able to listen to it all the way through. It's an awkward length, and honestly I find it pretty boring compared to their earlier stuff.
