Homemade Dragonslayer

Im going to Otakon this year and and Im gonna need my own version of Dragonslayer. I figure its about 6feet long 1 foot wide and 5inches thick how close is that? I mean is that good? Also were can I go to get the materials I need? Which reminds me any one else going to otakon?
