Speculation Nation / Re: What kind of ENDING you hope you will NOT see?
« on: December 25, 2017, 10:18:53 PM »
i would not like an ending with major questions unanswered (skully story. purpose of the astral shriek, etc), but im ok with some left to interpretation / speculation (no more 3rd party light novels plz....)

"Trust in da Miura"  :slan:

Speculation Nation / Re: So i have this theory

definitely that wont happen. doesnt make any sense for the plot casca being an apostle.
one of many mysteries of berserk.....what will happen with that Beherit.....

1.- A Dwarven blacksmith working on the DS (repairing it) , Dannan comes in and uses the Beherit like a scramble egg over the DS giving it a new property / effect / function , pucks crying and missing his becchi  (So Shounen...oh well...) :puck:

2.- is used to reach closer to the abyss and set the final battle vs Femto, the remaining GH member. Will be cool fighting him in the very abyss with the IoE as background, but the vortex will suck guts right away , lol, unless......reaching there "unbranded" somehow.... points doesnt make much sense either , so are acording with the thread at least, forgive me Aaz and Walter  =(

Character Cove / Re: Serpico vs Silat

Serpico , Wind > Silat Weapons, Sylphs are so OP , hahaha

W/O Sylph Equipment , Silat, easy.

W/O Sylph Equipment ,but on Advantage terrain for serpico, Hmmm a draw or Silat , but a close call for him.

plus if he dies as branded, its a one-way trip to the vortex of souls (no breakfast included).

Speculation Nation / Re: What do you think will happen after Elfhelm?
« on: July 11, 2017, 05:01:43 AM »
1.- casca gets healed, thats for sure, a couple of episodes to amend things with guts and be a somewhat functional couple.
2.- Rickert arrives to silat's village and we learn more about the astral world and the merge.
3.- Skully visits elfhelm and ask for advice to dannan on how to strike down godhand, then meets guts party and more of his past is revealed
4.- Except guts, casca and puck, all crew (plus molda, cucca, yoni, tune and some sorcerers) will travel to mainland (with the help of the merrows or some stuff to keep at bay sea monsters) and see how's the world doing ( Roderick being worried for the situation on Ys, rescue survivors or something important worth the risk ).

not in that order , more likely , mixed. Obviously just my opinion.
and thats just after elfhelm....

Yeah i was gonna say this. Seeing how the rematch was pretty close and Guts had literally just woken up from a injury induced coma I imagined them being pretty close in skill at this time. I feel like if Guts couldn't take him at this point with full HP it certainly wouldn't have taken him long to eclipse Griffith (huehue).

I think Griffith was far more skillful than guts (even at full health), he was able to easily parry those heavy strikes plus submit him even while he was punching his girly face (a very disadvantage position if u ask me).
But there is a limit for skill to overcome raw beastly power and we saw it 3 years later .

Video Games / Re: Anyone into the Fire Emblem Series?
« on: December 14, 2016, 03:29:44 AM »
I've played Sacred Stones, Awakening and half of Fates: Conquest.

Similar to Dragon Quest, I've tried quite hard to understand the hubbub around this franchise, but it's just not for me. I think the stories are generic, the characters are boring tropes (that repeat from game to game). I always feel like I'm watching some B-grade anime instead of experiencing a unique world with an actual story to tell. Combat in Fire Emblem games (particularly recently) rarely involves actual tactics, aside from moving a phalanx of your squad members slowly toward the enemy, while building up relationships so you can counter attack and one-hit-kill them.

The first S-RPG I played was FF Tactics, followed by Front Mission, and I found those stories/characters/world and systems are much more engaging (Front Mission DS is a fantastic version of the game, btw, with the full game and a second campaign). So when Awakening was getting all sorts of buzz, I was psyched for an entry among that caliber, and was sorely disappointed in what I found. For all its wordiness, I could summarize Awakenings' story in about two sentences.

The best FE games were on SNES , FE IV Genealogy of the Holy War had an amazing story/plot and superb OST, a bit more tactic than DS/3DS entries , the difficulty was cheap with all those holy weapons and OP Chars (except last boss....insane if not killed with yuria / Julia).

And Finally, FE 5 Thracia 776 , its brutal , just brutal. Hard as Hell , but very addictive, a lot of changes from previous installments(fatigue , Rescue/Take/Drop Allies, Capture enemies ,Build vs wpn weight /steal items /Rescue, lvl and stat caps, equip Scrolls to boost stat growths, etc ) a must play for any SRPG Fan.

In GBA FE 6 sword of seal is better than FE 7. sadly both have abominable graphics and a downgrade in game mechanics.

FFTactics , Ogre Battle , FE 4/5 , nobody make games like those anymore.....
