Unbelievable.  Emotionally crushing.  At work with Casca blushing at the question of Guts and Iím here tearing up.  That cliffhanger too.   :judo:

Well, Iím trading in southpark as itís just not interesting like the stick of truth.  Everything is recycled for the most part and the gags come off as trying to hard.  This is the first game this generation Iím trading.  Iíll be picking up breath of the wild and horizons frozen wilds.  Hope itís up to the hype after all the open world games and the depth so far this generation.  Never been a Zelda fan, but Iíll try it out.  Only worry is the weapon breaking mechanic might drive me insane.  Finished shadow of war and thoroughly enjoyed it, even more so than the original.  Fan fiction on roids and I never felt the need or want to purchase through the talked about negative loot boxes.  Finished wolfenstein the new colossus, assassins origins, and both had an alright feel, just middle of the road.  Mario galaxy was fun, but I liked galaxy a smidge more.

The maneater is the hardest challenge in the game.  For me anyhow.  The jog up to him, the environment, that was the coolest experience the first time through.  Not gonna lie, when this came out and I kept dying, I spammed him through a little glitch right in front of the fog gate.

I loved Get Out.  Found the premise considering the twist quite original and overal a disturbing enjoyable film.

Demon's Souls... Finally! It's interesting to see how much was already there in this one and how the series evolved. So far it hasn't been anything I'm not prepared for (it's a bit unfair since I can already anticipate most enemies styles, having played their descendents), though the pathway to the Tower Knight was a pain that cost me some souls. I did start as Royalty and boosted my strength so I already feel like an end game dual threat wrecking normal foes, but it's early, I've only beaten 3 demons and I'm making my way through the first couple areas. The ability to have virtually unlimited healing and magic really makes it feel comfortable staying out and clearing areas. No reason to go home!

Oh man!  That is still my favorite.  Think itís as simple as the first iteration having that lasting impression and being a stand alone title as well. Keep updating if you donít mind.  The character and world tendency is quite unforgiving.  I love this game.

Hahaha, strange as it sounds I wouldnít put it past him.  Thatís the most trying part of enjoying this ride.  Knowing J.J. is back in episode IX.  What was the point in switching writers only to throw him back in?  I feel the story is already damaged and perhaps going in the original direction, going backwards were something in his mind, will prove a little cheap.  Surprise, super Snoke is Dr Manhattan!

If Rian had been given a blank slate, something to retool the series, I only wish that scenario been done from the beginning.  Or perhaps J.J. had nothing in mind, only good starting points.  Looking at you Lost.

After sleeping on this Iím quite a bit more negative.  J.J. brought up interesting ideas and Rian has no love for them.  I think this is the problem at its core.  Where both trilogies originally were Lucas, both good and bad, we have no real direction worth talking about.  Itís happening for the sake of happening.  Two visions colliding in the middle of the story.

Thatís it?  Really the only response I have.  Struggling with the ideas presented that honestly just felt inconsequential and not meaningful.  Iíll give it time, but honestly Iím not wanting to analyze it more with a second viewing like most previous entries.  That resonates sadness as a long time fan watching the ot on a loop as a young child.

But really, the fact no one on here is freaking out tells a story.  Sometimes we over react with joy and sometimes we know right away we donít like something.  This just has one big ďeh, itís okĒ written all over it.  Much like the games Iíve played in the last few months (not you, odyssey!) Luke warm is not gonna sit well with my stomach.

Something I find interesting is the user score through RT.  Critically, weíre at 93%.  USER score however is sitting at 58% and dropping.  This, along with the comments Iím reading, has my expectations quite low now.

I think I was a little less critical than most of the first season, which was awful.  In any event I haven't watched a single episode of the second season.  Sometimes not watching is ok.  Why must most Berserk spinoffs SUCK?!

Take it from someone who loved ALL of the Alien/Predator movies: it's awful.

Such a bummer!

Well, seems overtime will be for many things around xmas this year.  Outside of the many titles like gow4, ori 2, spidey, last of us 2, horizon dlc, days gone, and southpark...which is plenty.  Now I'm contemplating the psvr because I've said I would never tread near one until something like elder scrolls and now we have that.  Then I've been holding off getting a switch unless something like metroid was in the works.  Bring it.   :zodd:

Griff, is it at the very least worth a watch?  I have a guilty pleasure for resurrection.  Covenant just sounds more and more like something to avoid.

Finished my game of Demon's Souls. Learned why the Pure Bladestone can go fuck itself the hard way.

I farmed that stone for more hours than I care to count.  Those  :SK: wielding two swords was the quickest option for me.

Cool.  I will prob check it out in theaters.  I wanted to watch Alien, but everyone in unison over how bad it is has stopped that desire.

Saw Wonder Woman. Great movie!

I see the reviews are stellar.  Tell me, feeling so so about MoS, disliking BvS, and refusing to watch Suicide Squad, how was it?   Did we finally get over the bad writing and random plot devices?

My wife and I are re-watching all episodes of The Twilight Zone. That's how refined we are. :badbone:

Nothing wrong with that!  Married with two toddlers and trying to watch twin peaks is a patient task.  In the Lynch mood and watched Lost Highway.   Still took us three evenings. 😴

Right?!  This gif actually reminded me of the first few seasons of  southpark.  Same type of movement achieved.

Well....we finished the first episode and I'm so glad this popped up on sk.  I don't frequent many other forums and this group is solid in intelligent criticism.  I am in love.  The characters, which I admit will take time to memorize, are so unique and alive.  The Lynch typical music to the rich landscape. The only dated issue I saw was the roadhouse fight scene.    :ganishka:  Very excited to see where this goes.

Lmao, it is suicidal in that "noose my childhood with a cherry on top" sense.  :slan:  I love the franchise and had no bias or critical opinions of the first four.  Hell, I had to sneak around to watch them when I was younger.  Resurrection came out when I was in 9th grade.  Obviously the first two truly are the meat and bones in the same way the terminator series is.  I went in knowing the reviews were terrible and idk, for me it just didn't do the negative reviews justice.  It was that bad.  Like the ultimate screw you to fans.  Hey, do you like Alien?  Yeah!  Do you like Predator?  Say whuuuu?  We have the ultimate story for you. With the writing power from two iconic storytellers in Uwe Boll and Liefeld, we present...AvP!!!

John, I'm not trying to flip you shit, just that this one really let me down.

There have been days I've thought about checking it out, but I'm afraid the bad taste will be all that's left in my mouth.  I really must have hated the first to not give the second a shot.

Far Cry 5 First Look: A Montana Uprising
<a href="" target="_blank" class="new_win"></a>

As much as I'm sick of the divisive states of America, Far Cry 5 has me hyped immediately.  A fresh change for the series was needed and I hope this delivers a great experience.

I must have confused the sprite moving frantically with multiples for each memory, or parts of her ego.
