Nomad sent me this today.

Don't know if you were aware of this... but thought you might find this interesting.

Now, the funny thing is, by coincidence, just hours before, I randomly checked for the original trilogy on, and learned of this there (this was totally out of the blue, I don't check every day for the trilogy or anything; first time I ever checked for it actually... can you say, The Force? =).

Anyway, what are people's feelings on this not so unforseen event? (amazon reviewers are sure pissy) Frankly, I don't think Star Wars sales methods can get any worse, so I'm all for it to at least have more reasonable access to the real trilogy (not even any Episode IV at the top of the scroll in SW). BUT, the catch is, they apparently aren't bringing it up to DVD snuff, it's just the LD transfers. That sucks if you really care about that stuff (not I), but it also leaves open the door for yet ANOTHER release, which I don't doubt will happen. Oh, and by the way, this one is, of course, only available for a limited time (from like September to December of this year =).

Nevermind, it just got worse. :troll:

Creation Station / BERSERK Movie Posters
« on: May 19, 2006, 09:04:39 PM »
Calling all photoshop fiends. We've all seen the awful Berserk movie threads over the years, now it's time to bring those bad ideas to life. I want to see YOUR Berserk movie poster. I'll get things started with this masterpiece inspired by the latest Berserk movie thread:

Coming to a nightmare near you.

What kind of BERSERK: THE MOVIE you make is up to you, I chose the route of the terrible movie here, but maybe someone can make a poster for a Berserk movie that actually looks worth watching? Anything goes, basically. That said, but if you're interested and short on bad ideas for a Berserk movie, just go here:

UPDATE: For the Hell of it and to keep them all in one place, here's my old Berserk movie crossover/parody avatars and sigs. I know Ewok will appreciate it. =)

Shootin' the Breeze / Munich
« on: May 12, 2006, 07:35:32 PM »
Another great movie I some how tragicly missed out on.

Based on the 1972 Munich massacare where 11 Israeli athlets were brutally murdererd. I found the movie to be really enjoyable and bringing up the whole questioning your own ideas.

If I was packed full of time I'd go into further detail on how this movie made me shit my self for joy but I'm not. It's late and i'm sleepy. I want to see posts people make'em happen!

Creation Station / Berserk Porn contest!!!!
« on: July 13, 2005, 03:11:41 PM »
This makes me realize there's  no Berserk pr0n out there. Anyone want to start a contest?  :guts:

You heard the man! Now I will happly except all good old types of pornographic material. It must contain Berserk characters, and look really good. I'll be more then happy to send you a free TV to the person that wins free of charge. I will ship it at my exspense. Anywho, I of course will be a judge. I'm guessing Walter would be the other judge.

Oh well Get to work you pornographers!  :troll:

1  It can't be a comic, it has to be a stand alone drawing.

2  It will not have any of the munchkens in it. IE nothing with anyone younger looking then Isidro or poopsy the witch. If you brake this rule, I'll think of something.

3  Nothing fucking nasty, for Christs sake.  :-X

4  It has to be original work, I'll find a way to make sure you're not cheating and it'll suck.

Shootin' the Breeze / Uncle Saddam's Place.
« on: June 21, 2005, 09:21:47 AM »

Saddam was friendly toward his young guards and sometimes offered fatherly advice. When O'Shea told him he was not married, Saddam "started telling me what to do," recalled the soldier. "He was like, 'You gotta find a good woman. Not too smart, not too dumb. Not too old, not too young. One that can cook and clean."'

Then he smiled, made what O'Shea interpreted as a "spanking" gesture, laughed and went back to doing his laundry in the sink.

Saddam preferred Raisin Bran Crunch for breakfast, telling O'Shea, "No Froot Loops." He ate fish and chicken but refused beef.

For a time his favorite snack was Cheetos, and when that ran out, Saddam would "get grumpy," the story said. One day, guards substituted Doritos corn chips, and Saddam forgot about Cheetos. "He'd eat a family size bag of Doritos in 10 minutes," Dawson said.[/b]

Christ, this shit is fucking better than theonion! ;D

« on: April 24, 2005, 04:03:13 AM »
Yup I am now offically back from Fort Benning. I sure hope to never have to see that place.

Well on Thursday I got my blue cord, thus making me an Infantryman [not a pussy mortar man... fucking tube rubbers]. All I can say is I'm glad I can now revert back to being a fucking nerd, just this time I can shoot. I leave on the second of May to go to Fort Drum to join the 10th Mountain division. Then I think I leave some time in February for Afghanistan. I'm not sure it's on their web site and I don't feel like looking.

Anywho, I'm back So who wants to write a summery for me.  ;D

Shootin' the Breeze / Banned of the Hawks... again. =)
« on: April 23, 2005, 03:28:57 AM »
I've officially been banned for the third time from thehawks forum. It's hard to tell exactly who or why since every other member there is a moderator; probably why everything there that isn't totally bland or non-sensical gets deleted, it's got to upset somebody, and that somebody has a 50/50 chance of being a mod. I was banned earlier in the week too, then I was un-banned for some reason, I assumed maybe Judea stuck up for me but I don't know. But now I'm banned again, the only reason I can think of besides just because I'm me (and that's enough over there, trust me =) is that I was having an argument with a mod over the latest episode. Sepico is a pet character of her's, this obviously affects her perception of the story, and she couldn't understand for the life of her why Serpico and Guts were fighting. I tried to explain essentially the obvious about Serpico and the situation, but she wasn't having it. Anyway, I was being perfectly fair, just debating, no flaming or dirty pool, and suddenly my posts just started dissapearing. I reposted, and then was banned; probably the right move if you can't hang with me. But given my reputation there, she could be totally innocent and it was just a coincidence, I honestly don't know. I don't even think the mods can ban people, so maybe whitehawk or someone was just tired of my presence already and I had used my "second chance."

Anyway, I don't mind, I expect to be banned everytime I go there, but here's a funny little epilogue: someone, possibly her, PMed me (we were talking outside the thread as well). But I'll never know, I can see I've been PMed, but I can't check under the ban. =)

I'll ask Genn when I get the chance, but can any of our two-timers here (dwarfkicker, I'm looking in your direction) do some snooping and solve the case for me, why I was banned again/who PMed me?

Shootin' the Breeze / Santana Vs Kumar
« on: March 26, 2005, 05:34:21 PM »
Well i havn't done much yet again so i'lll make another topic.

Just this morning as everyone was sleeping anxiously waiting for their pass [except me] PVT Rosa was told to get off the fire guard desk. Now before you start asking "who the hell is Vampire Hunter Bob?" let me tell you a little about Rosa. Rosa has basicaly been a sick hall junkie since week 2. He found out just last week he has a stress fracture in his pelvis. So Santana didn't feel like counting all the people in the bunks so he was trying to make Rosa [every step he takes is sheer pain] do the counting. So Rosa says no. Santana being the bigger man grabs rosa by the throat and trys to chock him.

Now here comes KUMAR! The bebooping king of basic training the only guy with the ability to dance while walking at the same time. While he was writting a letter sees the trouble PVT Rosa got into so he jumped to his feet. He grabbed Santana heroicly and through him off Rosa and broke it up. But then....

SANTANA COMES RIGHT AT KUMAR! Dun dun dun! Kumar's first reaction is to punch him in the eye with a flash light. [at this point in time all of the bay is awake and making their bed's because we're thinking it's wake up] So as i got up from my bed What do i turn and see? I see kumar and santana almost dancing as they were fighting. They could have been dancing i really don't know. Kumar during the fight just well slipped twice.

Well as i layed in my bunk I heard, "holy fucking shit their's blood everywhere!" Both of them fucked each other up pretty damn good. Santana need's work done on his nose and has stitches on his lip and under his eye. Kumar... he has less teeth then LaForgia [he had 18 teeth pulled]. He knocked both of his front teeth. So one tooth was completly knocked out and spit in the trash and probably now in the dumpster, his second tooth barly stayed in and was hammered back into his upper mouth.

Where are they now you ask? Well Santana is waiting for his day one company restart papers to get signed [you restart with the same company wich starts back in 5 weeks after the last company started]. Kumar is as well waiting for restart papers for trying to break up a fight with a flash light.

Moral of the story if you got to break up a fight don't use a flash light and don't be not sure if the drill sargeant dislikes you or not.

Shootin' the Breeze / Kobe-Shaq II

Kobe-Shaq 2: Judgement Game

This is pretty interesting, just as it was last they met, the Heat are rolling in with a ten game win streak to defend for only the second time this season, virtually tied for the best record in the league and fighting for home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. The Lakers on the other hand, have just lost it's second game in a row, putting them behind Denver for the last playoff spot in the West, and are on the verge of becoming a .500 team if they lose to Miami, further dashing their playoff hopes. The Lakers need to win just to keep pace with Denver, so  both teams have something to lose in this game besides pride, which makes it all the better. Hell, aside from just wanting to win the game, how much do you think Shaq wants to personally put Kobe and the Lakers down to .500 and push them out of the playoffs? How sweet would that be for the big fella, especially if he took the championship for the fourth time, proving once and for all what made that Lakers team a success; I bet he dreams about this at night.

Aside from all the drama though, the Lakers are really overmatched here. It's not like the Christmas Day Game where the they still had potential and Miami was just starting to dominate; the Heat are better than ever and there's no more hope that the Lakers are possibly going to upstage Shaq, even if they win this game. While they're gone fishing this summer, he's going to be competing for another title. Anyway, it should still be a dogfight; this could be all the Lakers have this season... unless it ends up like everything else has.

Shootin' the Breeze / "Heteronormative" Well, yeah, I guess.
« on: March 04, 2005, 01:59:16 PM »,2933,149308,00.html

Insensitive Remarks?

"Actress Jada Pinkett Smith (search), wife of actor and musician Will Smith, has been named "Artist of the Year" by Harvard's Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations and she was honored at the foundation's 20th Annual Cultural Rhythms show over the weekend.

Speaking at the event, Pinkett Smith urged students to break barriers, and told of overcoming her own obstacles, saying, "Women, you can have it all — a loving man, devoted husband, loving children, a fabulous career ... You can do whatever it is you want." But the school's Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and Supporters Alliance insists those remarks were insensitive and made its members feel "uncomfortable." Specifically, the group says, the remarks were "heteronormative." It's now demanding an apology."

Soon men and women won't be allowed to get married anymore. And natural(WARNING: HETERONORMATIVE!) reproduction? Forget it, that's just not fair. ::)

Character Cove / Serpico Apostle!
« on: March 01, 2005, 02:07:35 AM »
As I like to do every few months, I'm going to rant and rave about Serpico eventually becoming an Apostle. This most recent ramble was brought on by the latest episode, where Serpico again displayed his disdain for Guts and the big fella brought up their duel; their destined confrontation. So forget about the if or how, I'm wondering what Serpico is going to look like WHEN he transforms into a demon. ;)

Now, as well all know, someone's Apostle form is based on their inner demon, and an always accurate indicator as to what this looks like is their armor.

Now let's take a look at Serpico.

That's right, it's a FOX! or something. But I'm going with a fox because Guts himself once compared Serpico to a fox.

With Serpico's possible Foxxyness in question, let's take a look at some foxes.

Well, it looks like Serpico to me. Just imagine this with more drool, sharp teeth, spikes, tentacles and penises and you have a fox apostle.

Again, imagine it with some Apostle evil and demonic speed thrown in.

Now, check out this quick sketch, an artist's conception if you will, of a Serpico Fox Apostle...

... or furry.

Again, subtract the gay and throw in some more demonic evil sharp things, and it'd work. =)

By the way, a natural enemy of the fox is the wolf; so it's definitely gonna happen. ;)

P.S. Random Google image search results:

"Apostle Fox"

"Killer Fox"

"Demon Fox"

"Fox God"

Creepy for different reasons.

"Space Fox"

"Star Fox"

"Serpico Fox"

Character Cove / Guts/Beast, Griffith/Femto Parallels in Pictures
« on: February 14, 2005, 12:00:08 AM »
Following up on some of the ideas expressed in this thread I decided to look for visual parallels between Guts and Griffith and their demonic counterparts. Obviously, there's many more examples of them exhibiting behavior foreshading their dark sides, but I focused on putting the most pertinant examples together. Keep in mind, although it looks compelling as presented, many of these pictures are out of order and context, especially Guts' pictures in relation to Griffith's. Mind you, the simularties aren't a coincidence, either.
