Wow, I was impressed that this guy actually added Gaiseric to the FAQ (In the wrong place, before Silatt).  But the description did seem VERY familiar, then I realized he just stole that from your ‘Speculatins’ section, so much for him actually writing anything on the site, besides his name on all your work.

Well, I really don’t know what to say about this person other than:

Congratulations, Yong, you win the coveted Mike T Award for excellence in website creation!

P.S. I wonder how he’ll answer these charges? “Huh? Me? Steal? Nah.” God bless the Internet.

Er... No, he doesn't. ^^;
Where did you read that? ^^;;

Here, actually.;D In the old 'Post Eclipse' section.

P.S. Either way, there's no solid proof of Zodd's actual age.

Zoddo? He may be about 300 years old, for all we know...

Yes, he could be, but he could 1000 years old for all we know.  It’s never been made too clear if “wandering for 300 years” is him referring to a change in his lifestyle or just a cute way of saying how old he is.

Here’s an idea, tell me if I’m totally wrong about this Olivier. But if Zodd is only 300 years old, he would have only witnessed one other God Hand birth ceremony.  But in vol. 13 doesn’t Zodd say that Femto’s ceremony will be the last one, and that he has always found them pointless?  Apart those lines mean nothing but put those comments together and they infer that Zodd has seen all of the God Hand birth ceremonies.  He could have been referring to Apostle birth ceremonies when he called them pointless, but surely he didn’t think it would be the last of the ceremonies altogether.

It makes sense in a desperate disjointed way. ;D

Shootin' the Breeze / Apostle Ancestry?

The Crimson Beherit was created by the God of the Abyss from Void's crystallized tear of blood…Void… with the help of "Apostles" he created, destroyed Midland…

This makes me think, is each generation of Apostle weaker than the last? If the crimson Beherit was created by Void’s tear, then I assume that the tear of the first Apostle Void created (Zodd, likely) was the Beherit for the next Apostle (who made his own tear) and so on.  Zodd (or whoever was first) would be the closest Apostle to God Hand & Idea and next would be the closest to Zodd etc.  So as time went by the strands would keep getting a little bit more diluted and you’d begin ending up with some real losers (the Pig-Apostle Guts fought at Godo’s, or my favorite, the rubber chicken that attacks Judeau in vol. 13).

Also, assuming Void created more than one Apostle himself, then those Apostles tear’s would contain their traits creating many different Apostle arch-types, a type of heritage.  So, a down on his luck Zepec could find a Beherit coming from Zodd’s lineage and become the next super Apostle!

Oh well, these are just nonsensical ravings, but a lot of fun.

P.S. “Hey, watch it, pal! I happen to be a descendant of Zodd himsel!” ;D

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: something cool i found in a jpn game store
« on: August 09, 2001, 04:28:37 PM »
A real Dragon Slayer, I’ve got to have one, why weren't they selling it??!!!

BTW, How much security do you think that store had and how many people do you think it would take to carry it quickly and quietly? ;)

P.S. And yes, if I knew where I could find one in the states, I would seriously conspire to steal it.

I sure wish I could find Griffith on his horse.  I also need to get Zodd and now these Puck statues are out (though, I'm not too crazy about them, anyone one else bothered by the fact they are dark green?)!

P.S. If anyone has or has seen that Griffith statue, let me know.

Weren't those the ones sculpted by Miura himself?

I've been looking for one of these since they were first produced.

Has anyone here ever even seen one in person?

P.S. I hope they make a reborn Griffith statue on his horse, but I think I'd still rather get that one.

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Downfall Tipoff
« on: August 24, 2001, 03:13:52 PM »
Well, Miura hasn’t really unveiled any of Griffith’s reborn God Hand powers yet, and I’m glad.  The subtle things like Griffith moving quicker than the eye and being untouched by hundreds of arrows make him seem unimaginably powerful, much more so than if he had just started blasting Kushans in my opinion.  I’m sure he has all sorts of badass powers though, hopefully he even has a griffin transformation tucked away for later use.

If Griffith doesn’t know already, I don’t think he’d listen to anyone (until it’s too late), especially SK.  I mean, Gaiseric or not he’s God Hand’s enemy, and I think Griffith is so obsessed by the castle he will refuse to let anything deter him like before (he has thus far, it already seems he’s forgotten/ignored the meaning of the dream). I think he’ll have to go down before he can stand up against God Hand.  I also think Guts or Casca will more likely warn him, though they all could at different times.  Skully (plus all the bodies in the tower as Olivier mentined) at the beginning and Guts/Casca right before the end.  I’d love to see Zodd’s reaction to Skull Knight warning Griffith, it would give us a little insight on where he stands (unless Miura had him do it while Zodd was out!).  In a way, it’s like Griffith refusing to make the same human mistake as before, but instead making all new ones.  I think it’s one or the other, Griffith either has a plan already, or he’s only going to go against God Hand if his empire falls.  I think there will be no convincing him until the wheels are already set in motion for an age of darkness.

I was just kind rambling there, other thoughts?

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Downfall Tipoff
« on: August 23, 2001, 02:17:02 PM »

i personally think Gaiseric's story will be told when Griffith is about to/gains his kingdom. then skullknight will reveal it, to try to keep Griffith from making the mistakes of the past.

...and now, the point it is...

...will be able Skully to let understand to the "new Griffith" the wrong thing he is going to do?

??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

It could also be told when the story takes place in Midland again, and we'll see what lies exactly at the bottom of the Tower of Rebirth, or something like that...

Dammit, why didn't you speak up in my 'Downfall Tipoff' thread?  Oh well, it's long dead now, but I agree that Skull Knight could spill his story as a warning of things to come, but I wonder if he'd warn Griffith personally, or if he'll tell someone else (in Elvesville) and they're going to warn Griffith, or at least try to... ;)

Quote my opinion they'll try for sure to stop him...

i would have if i hadnt just developed this "theory". heh... it just kinda came to me. i mean, it makes sense right?

Now, speculate, speculate! Or else you won’t grow up big and strong!

Why are you so sure (apparently?) that it will happen?

Okay, VERY poor choice of words on my part, I fixed it.

For the record, I’m not sure it will happen, but I don’t think Griffith’s empire flourishing for generations is in the cards, at least not with God Hand around.  Anyway, that ending would only add to the creepy FFTactics/Berserk phenomenon! ;)

GRIFFITH:  Here you are... everybody's been looking for you.  *Griffith takes a bouquet of flowers from behind his back.*  Today's your birthday, right?  These flowers...  *Charlotte thrusts knife into Griffith’s flank.*  O... Charlotte..?

CHARLOTTE:  You use everybody like that!  Now, you'll kill me just like Guts...!
*Griffith takes a dagger from his side and plunges it into Charlotte.  She falls down, dead.  Griffith staggers back, holding his wound.  As he drops the dagger, he walks towards a corner of the ruins and drops to his knees.*

GRIFFITH:  Guts...  What did you get?  I...

There are some here believe Griffith’s Kingdom will fall like Gaiseric’s through some plan of God Hand’s, correct?  But, I wonder if Griffith is going to be warned (if he hasn’t already figured it out) by somebody (Guts, Casca, Skull Knight or maybe the girl speaking for one of the previously mentioned?) of God Hand’s possible ill intentions for his Kingdom?

Also, if he was warned, would he listen, or keep deceiving himself?

P.S. Wouldn’t it be the perfect reason for Skull Knight to explain his past!? :)

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too, same thing was happening with Cronus’ title.  I also can’t change my profile anymore and I'm an admin. :-/

what sick image are you talking about??? i posted a dog, that UFO noodle man, a picture of a pokemon book, and bananas in pajamas?!?!?

I think you just hit the problem on the head, this is supposed to be a BBS, not some fuckin’ odds & ends image gallery. I think that’s all Walter was trying to get across.

*whispers to mangykid* Of course, if teh Holley Vamp did it, Walter would love it like gold. ;D

Have a super day,

Actually Corkus didn't bother me as much as the first two or three times I read/watched it. I started to see things from his point of view a little bit more... at least so that I could understand his actions.   :)

He really is a good guy, even though he treated Guts like garbage.  He'd be good friend to have.

Boy Stromlord, you must not like Griffith too much.

Welcome to the board not so new-bie.
Hay, that’s a neat little test there, here were my results:

# 1      Griffith
# 2      Judeau
# 3      Corkus
# 4      Casca
# 5      Guts
# 6      Rickert
# 7      Gaston
# 8      Pippin
# 9      Slann
# 10      Ubik
# 11      Void
# 12      Conrad

Well, I lived up to my name, though I do wish Guts was a little higher though, but I am very happy to get Judeau second. Anyway, badass test, I recommend that everyone try it.

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Guts EARS ???
« on: August 26, 2001, 12:22:00 PM »
I don’t care if you are a Samson-sized Viking! You’re going down!! AAANIIIKIIIIIII!!! ;)

Or…I’ll just say that the ears have no special meaning, quite a few characters have pointy ears in the series. All of them are warriors; Guts, Griffith, Gambino, Donovan, Boscone, Snake Baron and the Count.

P.S. Miura equates pointy ears with fighting ability I guess. :)

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Is it possible for man to use the Dragonslayer
« on: August 27, 2001, 10:42:50 AM »
Well, no matter how scientific this debate gets (I like DFInc’s EFS thing personally) I think in the end you have to just suspend belief. One scene that comes to mind is when Guts lifts Mozgus over his head using the Dragon Slayer and then does a forward flip, throwing Mozgus over the wall and into the crowd.  Counting the weight of the Dragon Slayer, his armor and then adding in a huge, fully armored Mozgus you come to the conclution that  Guts is capable of doing a forward flip with more or less a thousand pounds of weight on him!  When you think about that, wielding the Dragon Slayer seems like no big deal.

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Is it possible for man to use the Dragonslayer
« on: August 27, 2001, 03:02:26 AM »
It was actually debated a while back on BSOM.  There was a bunch of crap on it and it even got a little scientific, examining the dimensions of the sword and trying to figure out it’s actual weight, I think Wereallmad said something about some university students doing something on it, though I don’t remember so I could be totally wrong.  I think it was determined that the sword would just weigh too damn much for any man to successfully wield it, let alone one of Guts size. Maybe someone else remembers it better than me.

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: HELP!!!! I don't exist!!!
« on: September 08, 2001, 10:57:37 AM »

Griffith has limited Admin powers.

Limited indeed, Walter, while your fixing things can you make it so I can change MY OWN profile?

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: HELP!!!! I don't exist!!!
« on: September 08, 2001, 10:23:15 AM »
Well, I tried doing “admin stuff” and all I discovered was that Fishbomb officially doesn’t exist anymore! This is really awful, Fishbomb is the unofficial Matriarch of this board. Why her of all the useless people on here (if that offended anyone then you know you're useless so don't complain)? Why not one of these people who registered a month ago and haven’t even posted once!

Enough ranting, Fish, I can’t find any easy way to fix this except that you try registering again, if it works then I, Walter or Cronus will restore your post count and everything will be working as good as… well, as good as it ever has. That’s all I can think of, maybe Walt and Cronus know a better way, sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

P.S. No Fishbomb =  :'( BBS
