Not really, but he was probably the best amateur guitarrist, that's for sure. And that's not even his best song. Just a bunch of wankery.

These two are better, more soulful:

Remember kids, it's not about how fast you play.

Yeah, it's about how soulful you pretend to be and stupid faces you make when you play those deep soul-o's. :ganishka:

Speaking of which...

Still my favorite, Jimi had soul even when he was wanking... almost literally in some cases.

Sure he was the best ever. And I'd like to see you play that one.

The best Portuguese guitarist, maybe. Regarding your second sentence, can you play as well as any famous guitarist yourself? That sort of comment is completely meaningless and you know it.

There are so many great musicians, why should there be a need to elect an absolute best?

And to be on topic, some guitar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cadbYIzhqQ

What the hell does that comment have to do with my quote? You probably missunderstood my "amateur" comment. Maybe you should research more about your best guitarrist of all time.
Besides, being able to play a guitar piece doesn't make you the best, just makes you a good performer. Anyone can do it if they practice long enough. It doesn't make you more of an artist does it?

I like Paco, but Meola does nothing for me.

Here's something alot different, acid folk master and bitter poet Kazuki Tomokawa:

That's also where the waters between art and one's pretensions become muddled. Some of the best artists know how to perform I hear, and vice versa even.

While were on music, here's Gustav Holst's Mars from The Planets:

This collection of music influenced a lot to come, especially in film. I actually have the record from my father's collection; which is full of much stranger stuff, I must say. Medieval dance music, Gregorian chants and such shit, drove my mother crazy. =)

The future of internet chatting, via Google Wave.

It really reminds me of endless hours of conversations me and my friends used to have using the DirectConnect feature of AIM. Only now, Google is doing it, 10 years later.

This guy actually made an optical mouse from a Nintendo Controller, it looks pretty cool.

Ugh, season 3 clips...
Season 3 was shit.
Season 2 was mildly entertaining.
Season 1 was amazing.

Man he does whine a lot. To me the first game easily remains the most frustrating one, and because they were tough doesn't mean those games were shit either.

Tell that to Mega Man 9 weenies that couldn't take the heat, I literally had people telling me with big eyes, "I heard it was crazy hard! :magni:" like it was the game's problem (it wasn't even that hard once you got your old school chops back up). Anyway, he's not saying they're shit, if you haven't you should watch part I (not sure why Rakshas didn't post it too) where he covers the first Castlevania and really sets the tone; after predictably singing Castlevania's praises, he even segues with the disclaimer, "...I am prepared to discuss the more frustrating aspects of the game." I'd love to see him give Mega Man the same treatment; as much as I love those games, plenty of times where I had to turn the Nintendo off mad. Though, I can't really think of an appropriate circumstance for it to be done like Halloween/Castlevania.
