Maybe I just can't let go, but don't you think this would have been pretty damn exciting with new animation? :guts:

Amazing job on that trailer man.

Is there anyone left to say the Black Swordsman arc isn't perfectly suited, more than any other part of the story, for a theatrical release?

I just noticed you even edited in the Kuroi Kenshi kanji in the credits at the end. Bravo dude. :ubik:

Well, I see the Chapter of lost children in the Retribution arc as being equally suited to become a movie.
Doesn't change the fact that Black Swordsman is suited perfectly as well of course, and Griffith's trailer shows it.

I don't necessarily disagree, but it wouldn't work as well as a stand-alone segment of the story (simply due to the fact the Black Swordsman arc is the beginning).

Yes I am. I frequently employ double negatives stylistically as a matter of fact. The proper appellation for this type of figure of speech is litotes. If you wish to take English lessons from me, I'm available at very affordable rates. Feel free to contact me by PM so as not to derail this thread further than you have already.

Ha, I never posted that because I never decided how to present it and there wasn't an opportune time. Better that it was discovered anyway. I should really add a link to the original inspirational video.

I'd be lying if I said that wasn't partly the motivation for this.

Well, why can't we have both? :guts:

Thanks to Aaz for the kanji.

Yeah, and if you're planning to do an entire "saga project" starting with a film, what better place to start than the beginning that's tailor-made for a movie? I still don't get it, other than it makes sense for those anime fans that don't see this as another attempt to adapt Berserk as much as a return of what Berserk is to them, as defined by the '97 anime (they've just had to "make do" with the manga since, praying for this second coming =). I think that's probably what's causing most of the fan confusion and disagreement over the direction of this project.

Late to the ball game, but Griffith, your editing skills always rock. These two trailers were fantastic! Very creative, as usual =).
