Berserk Saga Project News

Soooooo.... Because the blu-ray/dvd release for the second movie hasn't even been announced yet (as far as I can tell), as of now I'm just going to assume it's being released closer to when the third movie comes out in theaters. I originally expected it this month or October, but I guess the first movie came out on blu-ray as fast as it did because they wanted it out before the second movie hit theaters.

Orrr maybe they got so much backlash from fans that they've decided to go back and fix all the stuff they fucked up and give us a nice, extended, true-to-manga director's cut.

Jk.

The second film will be out on on BD and DVD in Japan on December 5th. Miura will be drawing the slip-cover again, this time featuring Griffith. I haven't had a chance yet to check out what extras are included.

Well that would be just wonderful. :ubik:

If only it were true (even though I actually enjoyed the first movie for the most part).

Someone tell me please why does it mention Aria on the bluray info and only there? I hope another awesome version of Aria
There's a bonus video on the disc of Hirasawa performing "Aria" live.

Anyone living near Leeds in the UK can see the second film early if they attend the international film festival in November http://www.neomag.co.uk/art/anime-manga/news/1014/anime-and-asian-cinema-at-the-26th-leeds-international-film-festival

It likely comes as no surprise do to content alone but I feel 3 is shaping up to be the best of the 3 films. Honestly though I still haven't even watched 1 from beginning to end, curious to check out parts and maybe all of 2 when it comes out.

I'm still hanging on (probably foolishly) that 3 will give me at least something visually rich that I can rewatch, at least something I can take away from this ordeal. At this rate though I'll probably just be getting a mass of CGI teeth, limbs and eyes on a CGI moving background with CGI effects flying everywhere. (honestly, Void's distribution of the brand?? :void:)

Too bad Rickert's name wasn't even used once in the first movie, at least I don't think it was. And from what I've heard, his role didn't get any bigger in the second. Hopefully the third movie can make up for the lack of development for the minor characters at least a little bit. It will be way too late of course no matter what they do though... :judo:

I think I am a ridiculously happy Silat fangirlperson at the moment :ganishka: I just really hope he'll get a good voice actor.

But I think these aren't good news for those who hoped for Wyald... If the movie includes the recovery part, it will have a really huge amount of stuff to cover...

I announced these characters were in the movie, along with their associated voice actors, in the voice acting thread yesterday: http://www.skullknight.net/forum/index.php?topic=12771.msg214792#msg214792

It's hard to tell from that compilation since most of those are comedic roles but the one I could see most fitting is something like Greed, just more serious of course.
