Yeah, I also picked up Jade Empire for the BioWare factor, even though it's likely I'll never get around to it. This holiday sale has piled up a massive backlog of games for me, and I'll be playing Mass Effect 2 within the next month :daiba:
Haha, I picked up Jade Empire as well. Hell of a lot of deals! I also picked up Overlord for 3 fucking bucks! You cant beat that!

With that, does anyone have Gyromancer? If so, is it worth the money for it? I played the Demo and it was entertaining for what it is... still debating on it... It seems like something the wife can enjoy as well.

I had high expectations for Gyromancer. PopCap and Square-Enix working together for a puzzle game in the vein of Puzzle Quest?! That's a golden concept. Buuuut, I played the demo and really didn't like it. The twist concept really turns me off, and by the end, I realized I could just look at the numbers at the bottom of the screen, and blindly moved my cursor around to see which move would produce the best results. That's a broken puzzle concept...

The only viable Steam deals for me today are Max Payne 1+2 for $2.50 each (I own all the other games being offered). The Payne series is good for what it is, but I really doubt I'll ever play these again since theyre such dated action games.

I played through Max Payne 2 when it was on special at Direct2Drive, and I have to say I really enjoyed the atmosphere of it. It has a few dated mechanics but overall I felt the experience was top notch.

I also enjoy it a lot. The missions are very fun and the cutscenes between them are just amazing, everyone should get it for 2.50.

Let's hope the third doesn't suck. Remedy's not the developer anymore, so I don't know...

This is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever.

Well, at least São Paulo, my city, will be the game's setting! Rockstar was here to take some pics for reference in January I think.

This is the best deal I've seen on Steam since I started following it: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/987/

Crysis: Maximum edition for $13.79.

If your computer can run this game, get it. All Predator fans owe it to themselves to play this.

Picked up Overlord and Jade Empire. Didn't have enough money to buy other titles but I like them so far... I am upset though that Jade Empire has some serious issues on Windows 7. :mozgus: Thank goodness that my wifes machine is still xp and runs it fine! :guts:

And for nerds who are interested, FF11: Ultimate Collection is also on sale this weekend for $7.50. http://store.steampowered.com/app/23390/

It's a tempting offer. 3 bucks extra and they don't throw a shitty game in the package. Hmmm... :troll:

Three really decent weekend deals so far:

Aliens vs Predator on sale for $33 on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/10680/

The Longest Journey, regarded as one of the best adventure games ever, is on sale for $5. Sanitarium, another great adventure game, is also just $5. Both on GoG.com: http://www.gog.com/en/promo/adventure/

And last but not least, Mass Effect 2 is on sale for $30 at both direct2drive.com and impulsedriven.com: http://www.impulsedriven.com/explore/search/mass+effect+2

Even though I already own the CD version of The Longest Journey, I'll probably get this $5 deal because installing it from 4 CDs again does not sound pleasant.
