Stumbled onto even more insane deals at GoGamer.com (http://www.gogamer.com/)

Oblivion P(PC) [doesnt include expansions] - $7.80
Command and Conquer, the 1st Decade [all the 90s C&Cs] - $17.90
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 for PC $4.90 - Save 90% Reg Price $49.99
Unreal Anthology for PC $7.90 - Save 74% Reg Price $29.99

Team Fortress 2 is 10 bucks this weekend. Not as great as the whole Orange Box which was the same price a few weeks ago but its a great time to play TF2 since the dual update. :carcus:

Officially, the Steam Weekend Deal is a laundry list of shitty MMOs:

http://store.steampowered.com/genre/Massively%20Multiplayer/

But there are also many other titles on sale. None of which will be getting my money.

Oblivion and other Elder Scrolls titles are on sale on Steam right now: http://store.steampowered.com/news/2572/

I bought Oblivion Deluxe yesterday, has all the expansions etc. for $20. Still trying to get into this game. It seems open-world to a fault to me.

Oblivion is the ultimate open world game that isn't multiplayer. One of my favorite games of all time and still I could put it in and have fun with it even though I've played it for something like 120 hours.

I actually prefer Morrowind over Oblivion. Oblivion's setting might be big and open, but it just seems so bland compared to the crazy ass places and varied landscapes in Morrowind. Plus the only quests that really stood out to me in Oblivion were the Dark Brotherhood quests and the Shivering Isles quests which I think were the best quests in both games, but I still prefer Morrowind overall.

The art design team for Oblivion were clearly influenced by a lot of generic fantasy material. :ganishka:

O hell yea. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Easter_Eggs

You can tell that the Oblivion team put a lot of time and effort into their games and likely had a lot of fun doind it. There is just so much creativity in this game that I'm always amazed even now that the game is 3 years old. Even with all it's faults Oblivion still remains to be a landmark game IMO and still hasn't been surpassed in it's greatness.

Lucasarts games are coming to Steam.
The complete list of games to be released on July 8 via Steam includes:

Armed and Dangerous™
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis
Indiana Jones® and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure
LEGO® Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure
LOOM™
Star Wars Battlefront® II
Star Wars Republic Commando®
Star Wars Starfighter™
The Dig®
Thrillville®: Off the Rails™

As I'm sure I don't need to mention, this announcement says nothing about Knights of the Old Republic or even TIE Fighter coming. These are pretty much huge glaring omissions. Apparently they're just TOO COOL for Steam :azan:

In a separate announcement, Lucasarts said the Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition would be hitting 360 and Steam on July 15th. That, at least, is exciting news!

I tell you what is pretty annoying though for Steam is that if you have a game that is for sale on steam, that it wont activate it even if you have a good CD key. :puck:

Would be nice if I didnt have to worry about some of my games like Titan Quest.

Completely agree. I think it's a continuation of a practice that is becoming far more acceptable than it should these days -- selling you the same game multiple times over.

That being said, Steam DOES allow you to use a CDkey for a handful of games, namely their own titles.

The way I justify it though, is that Steam is supposedly going to be around until I'm a grandpa. That physical CD copy likely won't keep that long. Still, I think that customers who can prove with a CDkey that they've already purchased a physical copy should get at least a 50-75% discount on the digital version. Over at Impulsedriven.com , all their games (not many) have this policy, only it's a 100% discount.

This is one of the better game deals I've seen in a while. Titan Quest is hours of fun, and this is BOTH games (Titan Quest and Immortal Throne). This is 50% off of an already inexpensive game.

If anyone here is a fan of Diablo, and wants to dick around with another similar game to stave off the Diablo III hunger, I highly recommend this.
