I just finished everything currently released in the Berserk manga for the first time, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it for days now. I have a story and world I've been working on as a hobby over the last few years, and Miura's works have given me the "push" I've needed to start considering actually putting my story into writing. I'm also an amateur artist- though I've never bothered trying to learn to draw properly. Anyway, I drew this sketch of one of my biggest characters today, a character who in reminds me of Guts in a lot of ways.
I don't know if I'm going to actually draw out even a short LN or manga, but I've been considering it. If I were to, do you guys think it'd be worth taking the time to improve at art to make it into a full thing? Or just writing it out as a novel? It's been a dream of mine for a long time now and I think I might be ready to start thinking about putting in a greater effort to get this story out there. I guess what I'm asking is what do you guys think? Try writing it as just the story, or with art included?
