Introductory post and question about Berserk's timeline

So...hey everyone. It's my first post here and I have been a lurker and admirer of the site for a pretty long time. And finally decided to make an account.

Besides that, I have a doubt regarding one of Berserk's "timeline inconsistencies" as pointed in this post-

Even though the "inconsistency" isn't "massive". But I would appreciate if any of you can clear this "inconsistency".

English isn't my first language. So please forgive any language inconsistencies.
Peace✌️

(And btw I was having doubt whether to post this it in Manga Mausoleum or not but as the post is mostly related to Berserk, so I decided to post it in here. Hope that's okay)

Welcome! Happy to weigh in on this, but I'd have preferred you to explain the idea yourself so I didn't have to read that whole post/thread to understand what the actual discrepancy was... :sweatdrop:

Anyway, the person who posted that thread assumes the boy MUST appear EVERY full moon, which isn't the case. People often overlook that in 341, we see Griffith during a full moon, but the boy doesn't manifest. There's hardly even a need to document that, but Miura did. If you remove that misunderstanding, then there's really not much of a discrepancy.

It's certainly been years since the Incarnation, and it hasn't been concretely spelled out, like we got elsewhere in the series, so it doesn't seem that important. But I think somewhere between 3-4 years since Conviction started feels about right, and it also aligns with what Miura told us in our 2009 interview with him. Beyond that, another way you can document the passing of time is the form the boy takes. He looks like he's around 5-6 years old, yeah? Well, that's how long it's been since the Eclipse (2 years between Golden Age and Conviction + 3-4 years from then until now). And that also makes sense.

BTW: Back in 2016, @Theozilla and myself had a lengthy back and forth on this exact topic, documenting every known or even implied passage of time in Conviction + Millennium Falcon, trying to ascertain a concrete answer to the passage of time. Our conclusion? Check it out here: https://www.skullknight.net/forum/i...and-character-age-analysis.15216/#post-245078
