So, how many of you crazy Skull Knightigans play Magic?

If you do, what colors do you like to run, etc. and what do you think about THIS?!?:

I'll buy you a ham if you can guess where the image came from. :troll:

I began playing magic back when I was like in 7th or 8th grade.. that was like in 93? man, I feel old :judo:

Black and Green deck where my thing! Force of nature with giant growth, unholy strength, and what ever! it was like a +10/+7 and he already was a natural +8/+8 with trample! SUCK IT!

I played Magic: The Gathering years ago, but have stopped long since. I've always been a Black deck kind of guy, so among the many variations my decks had you would often find a majority of Black cards. Of course I've seen quite a bit of Berserk card parodies over the years, especially as the anime grew more popular. Yours is neat, although I would have made Griffith a 3/4 without First Strike.

I still prefer the real Berserk TCG though. :void:

heh i hate magic but i like the idea of a berserk expansion, u should come up with a few more :)

yea griffith is abit unbalanced, should be something like target creature remains tapped during target players next phase.

Guts has to be a red card !!!!! hehe

"This is it. It's over."
yeah i used to play magic... a long time ago ^^

i've been using a white/blue deck, so i would have been able to summon this "creature".
these stats are tremendous - but isn't Griffith very powerful indeed? ^^

i agree with Aazealh to make it 3/4 yet i think "First Strike" suits well.
by the way Aaz, is the berserk TCG good?

Yea, thats about the time I played. I never was any good at the game but I still managed to spend way too much time and money on it. I think it was my dad who pretty much pegged it as we dragged him to the comic shop when he said "basically, the person with the most money wins".

I should probably sell them, as I still have cards like Nightmare and Royal Assassin from way back. As I recall those were worth something.

Well, his ability is already pretty powerful so with First Strike it's a tad too much I think. I guess that doesn't matter much since it's all for fun though.

Yeah, I like it (though unfortunately I don't get to play it very often these days).

Looks great but just a suggestion... if you're going to continue the thread in this manner, how about changing the title of it?

PS: Guts only deals 1 damage? :miura:

Not to be too picky or anything, but there's something about the Black Swordsman being a red and white card that bothers me. I'd like to see some black in there. :SK:

And since we're at it, I'd make him a 7/5 with Trample, and "Pay (2) during your upkeep or give a 1/1 spectre token to your opponent that can attack you next turn." The mana to pay could be black or incolor depending on what his summoning cost itself would be, I like the idea anyway.

Hahah, that sounds about right... as for the Nightmares and Royal Assissin's.. I believe the Nightmares used to be like $11.00! :isidro: Not sure about the other one...

Oh yea... I fucking hated Blue and White decks! :miura:

Well, I dunno. I picked red and white because red is the color of RAGE and PASSION and what have you, and white is the color of DUTY and DISCIPLINE and stuff. Guts has the capacity for both those. Black, I guess I could maybe see on him. I always associate black with parasitism and selfishness, though, and that's not really Guts' cup of tea.

And since we're at it, I'd make him a 7/5 with Trample, and "Pay (2) during your upkeep or give a 1/1 spectre token to your opponent that can attack you next turn."

That sounds pretty good. Slightly different approach from mine. We both made him a big badass, which is all that really matters. The flavor behind mine was that he can't be stopped except by shitloads of enemies and the little pinging ability was inspired by his throwing knives. Y'know.

Last Soldier Standing
My friends and I used to be big magic fans. We sort of stopped playing a few years back but we still play occasionally. I ran a red/black power/ressurection deck. I usually did pretty well. :chomp:

It's a great game, compared to a lot of the more popular CCG's out there. Although I'm dieing to try out the Berserk CCG some time.

Yeah, I mean I understand why you gave him these colors, Guts is fundamentally good and white suits him well, it's really just that I love the Black color (plus his nickname). Anyway that's why I thought of making the summoner pay 2 blacks at each upkeep to prevent having spectres appearing against him, it's a neat feature I think, and it balances the card a bit.

I used to really enjoy this game. The problem was, in my area there was only one place to play it, and it was the local card shop. I was about 13 at the time, and my usual competition consisted of a peurto rican that consistently asked me to buy his cards so he could get more crack, and this old fat security gaurd that I called "snowman". He earned his nickname because he had severe dandruff that would always flake onto his cards, which were mostly of the black variety so they highlighted the dandruff. He would always eat raw peppers and strawberries while playing, and he once got the idea to show me his vampire pornography trading cards collection and explain to me how his ex girlfriend ended up in the hospital for trying to have sex with a horse. Needless to it was a bad environment for a 13 year old, and the day he told me about his girlfriend's farm adventure was the last day I played magic there, or anywhere for that matter.

Wow. And the sad thing is that these guys are probably the core Magic: the Gathering players. :SK:
