Skull Knight continuation rumor

I feel like I read somewhere that the plan for Miura was to finish up the island arc and write a skull knight novel( like what was done with grunbeld) and give us the backstory of him and then kind of finish up beserk. Am I crazy or did anyone else read that anywhere???

No, there's been no announcement of a novel, and at this point I don't think such a thing would be likely. What you probably heard second- or third-hand is a version of what Miura said in his video, which is being exclusively shown at the exhibition.

Here are two interpretations of portions from that video:

"And so the journey that Guts has been on with his friends ends and a new chapter begins. Also, Young Animal is currently running a series about skull knight's past. Please enjoy it."

The story of Berserk is 60-80% clone.

Miura started wrapping up the story toward the end.

Guts will enter the fight against Griffith, but it will not be settled with only one opportunity, implying they will fight multiple times.

Guts has been spending his journey with comrades such as Schierke and Farnese etc, but such a journey will be over after the Elfhelm arc. (*I'm wondering if they’ll split up and go to separate places for some reason.)

Berserk will enter a new phase that will be told along with the story about Skull Knight.

Miura said all of his audience were like his comrades.

Given that the video is exclusively for exhibition attendees for now, we can't verify anything about its contents. So we have to rely on these little text blurbs. But one big thing neither explanation took into consideration was the timing of the video's recording. Miura wasn't referring to something NEW about Skull Knight, but something old. That video was recorded sometime between Nov-Dec 2020, a bit before the exhibition was originally slated to debut in January 2021. And consider, in that time frame Episode 362 was the current release, which included a story about Skull Knight's past. That accounts for this part: "Young Animal is currently running a series about skull knight's past." From Miura's perspective, 362 was that.

That’s exactly what I saw that made me even think of it. Thanks a lot for the information!
