The point Aazealh makes about Miura not showing how Schierke escaped the tentacles is good. Even though I occasionally re-view this section of the story the thought didn’t cross my mind on it not being shown. As Grail pointed out it makes sense as it does sort of add to the comedy of the scene when she returns with the dagger. But it is unlike Miura to not at least have a line explaining what happen. It’s also perplexing to imagine her dealing with those tentacles on her own as I don’t believe we ever see her fight with them directly? Only when she’s with Guts.
