Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Oh, nevermind...
well that's apparantly going to be the title of Lucas' third installment of the trilogy. Personally I don't think it's great, but it doesn't stink either.

It's a good title in a couple of ways because it firstly validates Darth Sidious' comment in Ep 1 where he told Darth Maul that the Sith "At last we will have our revenge (on the Jedi)". A bit of foreshadowing there by Lucas.

And secondly it's (almost) the opposite of the final installment of the first trilogy, "Return of the Jedi". Which, btw, was originally going to be titled "Revenge of the Jedi".

So what do you guys think?

Yes I know, but i'm still holding out hope the Lucas can pull off some kind of miracle and manage to make a good movie... but perhaps Im deluding myself. At any rate, it's a moot point since I, like all other Star Wars fanboys, am gonna see it no matter what. ;)

Yeah, great title idea, too bad Lucas isn't a filmmaker anymore... ADD MORE MONSTERS WITH COMPUTERS! NO, WE DON'T NEED ANOTER TAKE, I'LL FIX THE ACTING IN POST WITH CGI!!!

Yuck.

Anyway, I love the first trilogy, though this new one has sort of "raped the magic" they once held for me. I thought Episode I was lame, until I saw Episode II and realised Episode I was brilliant in comparison. I just hope I'm not thinking Episode II "Wasn't that bad I guess..." come 2005 and the release of this possible travesty.

Same here...yet I saw a pic where Anakin was standing on the same "door" that he exploded on he's 1st apareance in the 1st original movie. I must say, he looks well...awesome. One of the rumors out there is that in this movie, the emperor will have a lightsaber fight scene... don't know if its oficial though :-\.

There are two fight scenes with Darth and Obi One Kenobi... and the begining sequence of this one "starts with a bang". Well that's all I know so far. Not quite dying to see this movie :-\

Like so many others I was fairly disappointed with the new movies, and said they sucked for a while but I don't think that is true. We can easily say they were shit but they aren't....they are just a let down but that doesn't mean they are not entertaining.

I think episode 1 and 2 had their fair share of strengths and weaknesses, I thought the characteristics of the Jedi's being calm and cool was done well, and liked how Darth Maul was so dark and mysterious.
The story was over done and nothing special in both but hey, the lightsaber fights are always enjoyable. I won't hold my breath but I think it will be worth seeing at the cinema.

Young Anakin and Jar Jar on the other hand.... ohh I would have loved nothing more than to see them die a slow and painful death.

Incidentally, the movie Sleepy Hollow had 3 sith lords in it which is kind of strange.

The can opener went bye-bye...
We need a star wars remake... something done from movie 1 to movie 9...
Give it a writer that'll keep the original trillogy mostly intact, but scrap the first one... and pay some limited respect to the books for the 3rd trillogy...

Make sure the writer/director makes it a dark movie. Someone who realizes that Jedi aren't paladins... there guys with superpowers that can maintain their "light" side so long as they don't loose it to their emotions. Let them slaughter innocents all they want, threaten, torture... you name it, so long as they remain detatched about the whole mess.

Actualy, throw in some non-sith dark jedi. Make them like homicidal maniacs, completely lost in their emotions, especialy rage. That way, there'll be a distinction between them and Sith. Sith could be darksiders that can apply the raw power of their emmotions, but not lose themselves in it and still plan and scheme and whatnot...

AND MAKE THE TECHNOLOGY MAKE SOME SENSE... Sure, most of the tech you see in the 1st trilogy is from better established groups... sure it should look kinda shiny. I don't mind the boxy tech, I think that new tech goes through a "not pretty" stage, especialy if its not for comercial use. Its just that the difference between the 70's idea of the future and the 90's version of the furture-tech is so extreme that it screws up the movie...

Ha so true. Funny though there was one episode of the Simpsons were Carl and Lenny were fighting in some sort of a light saber duel and they were fighting about which movie sucked more Ep 1 or Ep 2.

Even though I've never been a big Star Wars fan including episode 4-6 but I did like them not as much as other fans like the star wars movie but enough to be willing to watch episode 1 which was a big dissapointment. Didn't like episode 2 either. Expecting episode 3 to be bad also.

Funny short story. This sub teacher in class who's a big movie buff. Brought a Star Wars movie forgot which one. He was saying this is the Greatest movie of all time. Of course my class didn't give a fuck as to what he was saying nor did we watch the movie. My homie Marco said during the movie "hey isn't that the bitch (princess Leyla I think that's her name) who made a porno movie" which by the way he was right. Hah everyone laugh teacher was pissed and we all left class 10 minutes earlier. Gotta love those geeky white teachers. ;D

Sencirely y think the story of "Knights of the Old Republic" had a much better storyline that this "trilogy"...

For those who where not aware... the original trilogy comes out on DVD on Sept. 21st...
the pack looks really good

I think episode 3 has great potential.

Amidala/Windu dying, the construction or completion of the Death Star, the Naboo armageddon, how Yoda escapes, the Obi-Wan/Anakin fight, General Grievous, the public or private revealing of Darth Sidious/Palpatine, Dooku being betrayed are all things that could happen and that I am looking forward to if they do happen.

But whether Lucas actually turns this into a good film is an entirely different matter, but quite plausible in my opinion. The new bad guy, General Grievous, looks cool and, according to some Eps 3 previews, has a part in the whole Anakin/Darth Vader transformation (so Anakin's transformation may actually end up being cooler than just him cutting off Dooku's hand). With Episode 1 and 2, Lucas didn't have a lot of material to work with in the first place...probably the reason why they weren't that spectacular. I liked them, though. The acting was poor, but the fights, special effects, even the plot, were definitely something to see.

As for the title... who really cares? Berserk volumes don't even have titles and you'll still enjoy them. And the title is not that bad anyways.

The original trilogy DVD set is for suckers. I'm waiting for the super special ultra deluxe 8-DVD OTPTSW double trilogy DVD set. It's worth a rental, however, if it gives us a decent look into the making of Episode III.

It probably will suck ;D. Oh well. I love Star Wars so I'll see it first day. James Earl Jones is going to make a short appearance at the end. Also its rumored that its going to have 2 world records broken: Longest fight scene in cinema history, and most ground covered in a battle (something like that). The new enemy looks pretty bad ass too. He's supposed to be like half alien, half machine. And like whipsabers. Anyways, looks kind of gnarly so I'll see it. I've seen a pic of Anakin in the suit with the fucked up head so it should be some good.

Actually, that's for suckers too. I want a special "Untainted Edition" set of the original triligy with no poor CGI graphic additions in it or new references to these new sub-par movies. And no special features, just the films will do thanks (special features are getting to be worse than trailers at the start of videos "172 hours of useless, boring bonus shit!").

So, yeah, if you were going to bother buying the evil SPECIAL EDITION Satan trilogy from Hell, you might as well get it with the prequel travesty set for the completly RUINED Star Wars experience.

I myself have other plans... gonna get the THX Edition Laser Discs, the last great release of the original trilogy, and then rip it at ridiculously high quality and burn it to DVD. HAHAHAHAHA!

Star Wars was what got me into Sci Fi, so it will never suck to me. 1977 the first star wars. I actually didn't see it till around 1983 when the Return of the Jedi came out since I was born in '77. haha But I was hooked at the tender age of Six. Had all the toys, the millinium falcon, x-wing, tie-figters, bubba fett, etc........ woot! The bounty hunter characters were always the best. I would set up a Pit of Carcoon outside my house and have all of them drown in it, just like the movie....haha Those were the days.

Sold all my toys off ebay for quite a bit. Oh, back on topic, I'll watch it of course. And we all know the the Dark Side is gonna win this one. Im a huge fan of the original trilogy, but this new PREQUEL trilogy is just "aight" to me i guess......

lol, duh, why do you think that in "A New Hope" one of the few jedi alive is the little shit Yoda? Of course, the dark side destorys almost every jedi and Yoda escapes like a little pussy. Oh well, can't wait to see Anakin get burned in the battle, whiney little bitch ;D. I agree, I think Lucas has lost his nerdy touch to the series.

Don't trust supershadow.com for anything. It's fun stuff to read, like fanfics except decent, but that's where it ends.

Also (Jon), Yoda is not a little shit.
