The Big Berserk Exhibition

Are there any news about the results/acceptance of the Seoul exhibition?

Presumably there wouldn't be a new one if the first event had been a disaster. I think it went well, and comments among Korean fans that I've seen were very positive. Apparently at some point people were lining up hours in advance to take pictures with the Dragon Slayer at the entrance. They ran out of the merch in the store, etc.

A shorter exhibition than the last one got me thinking if they are not being 'cautious', but indeed.

That's absolutely good results then!

Asking because I hope they got good results and that this brings new exhibitions more and more to West!
As far as coming to the West...it's always a possibility, and they really don't seem to be having any problem milking this thing dry. Based on what we have seen so far however, we might be waiting a very, very long time.

I don't think so. Rather the first one they did in Seoul was exceptionally long. And keep in mind Seongnam is just 30 minutes away from Seoul anyway, so this might be seen as a way to prolong the exhibition beyond the original dates.

Well it's taken a while but some of the items that were sold at the exhibition will finally be buyable online.

But they'll only be available from February 26 to March 19.

And needless to say, this is a Japan-only affair, there will be no international delivery. Those interested need to use an intermediary (broker or forwarding service).

Still, it's a good opportunity to get the artwork reproductions and some of the apparel or jewelry.

I've never done that. What exactly does that mean? Are there websites for that?...

Yeah there's a number of services you can use. For brokers (they buy for you, then ship you the package), you've got buyee.jp, fromjapan.co.jp, worldshopping.global among others.

Mail forwarding services require you to make the purchase yourself. They give you a Japanese address from which you can redirect packages to your home address. Two well-known ones are tenso.com and baggageforward.co.jp.

Out of the brokers you listed, would you recommend one over the others? I’m thinking about ordering the artwork book and I wonder which service would be best to use.

Personally I will order directly and redirect the package. For brokers, all three are serious and I've used all of them before, but the one is use most often is Buyee.

Buyee’s site seems to be down, so I’ll give fromjapan.co.jp a try. Thank you! :serpico:

Package forwarding sounds more daunting that using a broker. Perhaps one day I’ll dare giving such a service a try…

Oh dear, if I visited I would come out broke.
