To elaborate a bit more on this idea, when I grabbed vol. 13 from mangaline for the first time (I haven't read the manga at the time), I thought that was the last volume of the manga when I started watching the anime...Thanks for sharing! I also went into Berserk assuming that it had been completed. In fact, I remember seeing Volume 18's amazing, climactic cover at an anime convention and thinking: "Yep, that's certainly the final volume." It was of course merely the newest volume available at the time...
