Griffith: future king or big pawn?

I don't know if this subject had been addressed before, BUT maybe someone can clear this up for me.

Griffith being allowed a second chance at his dream, got it. Causality manipulating the circumstanes of his gaining his dream, got that, too. Here's the kicker for me:

The God Hand have not shown their faces in a while, and what I want to know is Void using Griffith to gain the kingdom so that he can take his place at the right oppurtunity???

What do you guys thinks, this is killing me.

First of all, it's not a second chance for Griff, it's just the continuation of his dream. As for Void taking his place? ... I don't really think Void wants to be king. His goals seem a little more far-reaching. And anyway, only 'one god every 1000 years can be reborn into the flesh'.

I'm not denying that Griffith may be a pawn in the cosmic scheme of Berserk, but I severely doubt it has anything to do with the official title of king. There isn't enough information about God Hand to speculate on their true plans though...
