Brief summary, a group of simpletons break into a building looking for drugs and money and come across a container of cremation ashes/remain and think, Ooooh, Cocaine! Let's snort it!

I think human ashes, when incinerated for cremation, end up white, or at the least, not BLACK.

I'd hazzard to guess several things:

1. These weren't particularly smart theives.
2. Movie and TV ultra-white Cocaine powder that's 100% pure is not what you come across on the street.
3. They weren't really examining it so much as jovially bragging to one another about having won the crackhead lotto while huffing the dust.

Cocaine is white dude, there isn't really any room for variation on that. It's not like the more pure it is the more white it is. Maybe different shades of white, but certainly not gray or anything. Besides even if it's not white, drug dealers will cut it with something to make it white. Basically these guys must have been total retards.

It took about 20 seconds to confirm the validity of Master's guess that coke can indeed come in a variety of hues and colors depending on how or what it's cut with.
