I love when I find a cool Hirasawa song I haven't heard before

Definitely, you should listen to that whole album — Kyusai no Gihou. It's my favorite of his solo works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_rK4eWKEvI

even the horses are cut in half!
Yes, that album is awesome indeed. I'm listening a lot "the man climbing the hologram" "kun mae #3" in alternance with "murder" cause I like to compare them and one of his remix album "hen-gen-ji-zai". Great stuff while drawing at work. :carcus:

Know any cheap ways to import CDs from Japan? I've wanted to collect his albums for years but it's so pricey to import those kinds of things.

I always use CD Japan. Shipping isn't too expensive, particularly if you get several items at once.

Here's his listing :

One of my favorite albums by AC.

I've been listening to the new Ulver the past two weeks ... it's intoxicating

I really enjoyed that AC album actually. Think I listened to it 7 or 8 times? I also took a listen to Metropolis yesterday and it might be my favorite so far honestly.

I should also really listen to more Ulver. Everything I've heard by them so far has been fantastic. Too much damn music all the time to get through sigh.

Listening to:

Acumen Nation - Lord of the Cynics
Perturbator - Dangerous Days
Gary Numan - Dead Son Rising
Current 93 - Sounds From the Horse Hospital

Menosgade

Not all those who wander are lost
Right now listening to Lute Works by John Dowland:

I listen to Bach daily, but I also enjoy a lot soundtracks, such as Geralt's Theme in the Witcher series:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5lohhX7RGk (fantastic)

To all Dark Souls fans around, there's also Dark Souls Ambient videos, really great to listen to:

Kamikaze by Eminem, which is basically a ranting 40 minute verse somewhat tempered by a shameless 5 minute soundtrack cash grab at the end (veehhhnneeemmmm, vrrmm vrrrmmm). Angry like it's 1999, rage against the dying of light, Em. :daiba:

If you're curious but don't want to listen to an old white guy yell about modern internet Hip Hop for almost an hour, the first track, "The Ringer," which really is just a 5 minute verse, will pretty much suffice as the thesis statement for the rest of the album, which follows in the same vein on "Greatest," "Lucky You," "Not Alike," "Kamikaze," and "Fall." The rest is disposable relationship prattle and the aforementioned movie tie-in.

Lost Themes I, II and Anthology by John Carpenter (the latter being new arrangements and recordings of selected film compositions). You can check out a decent sampling of material on his surprisingly dynamic official website:

Well a year and a half later and I finally got around to getting the CD.

I'm also listening to this per your recommendation!

Also doing a little Van Halen run Right NOW, mostly through the original David Lee Roth era. I don't know how much Van Hagar I can stand.

Just wanted to mention I saw Metallica live when they came through Kansas City a few weeks ago. Reason I wanted to bring this up is that I'm 32 and been a fan since I was 12. I feel like I waited my whole to see them and it was a amazing experience for me. They sounded amazing and they were very humble. I want to just keep this simple and say it was a big thing to knock off my bucket list. I recommend catching them, even from the cheap seats!

Right there with you, also 32, also saw them in early teens, they're doing another S&M concert - but tickets are ridiculous at this point..

With Rammstein's new album coming out, I went through most of their discography again. Not much to be said other than I love Rammstein and everything they've done.

A lot of their singles are sort of boring though. Some gems in there of course.

Right now, listening to Psychic TV Presents Ultra House, which is pretty great.

Fancypantaloons

Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas.
I'm currently listening a lot of Audioslave, Alice In Chains, Helmet and 2pac. A bit weird combination.

Yeah, I've seen them a couple times the last 15 years and they still bring it live. Hetfield's voice is hanging in there now after a rough few years.

My biggest live music regret is I didn't see the Big 4 show in Indio when I had the chance because I figured they'd do a tour and I could get better seats in LA... oh well, I'm not a huge Slayer or Anthrax fan anyway (yeah right, it would have been awesome =).

Still haven't been able to get through the Van Hager era, just too generic sounding for me though, and yet I was able to listen to all of Roth's original Halen albums during one day's communte, which might say more about my commute sadly.

I've been a huge fan of Tool for about a year now, no idea how I never heard about them before. Pretty intense, deep prog rock/metal :chomp:. Excellent musicianship. If you look it up there's a couple of Berserk AMVs with their cover of Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter" and their song "Lateralus" (Someone might have shared them already). Also, I made a youtube playlist if anyone's interested: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUwUHYt0skRJ6U5xAg9JJUl8YE7P5YOiy And here's my absolute favorite from them:
