What is Godhand?

I've seen some words about Godhand in berserk.
Here they are.

Sisya :
1) messenger
2) one who takes dead people to the other world(hell or heaven)

goji :
1) another word for messenger when we call it so politely.
2) Royal censor(inspector) which used to be in some parts of early Asia. a name of some position. In short, king's messenger.

tenshi:angel

What do you think that is the most appropriate English for the above?

I go for messenger.

angel and messenger are really sinonyms.However since in the Holy Book "angel " was always used to indicate the supernatural messengers of God ,and not those of, let us say, a king, that would be also right everyone forgot the original meaning of the noun, and today if you say "angel" eveyone think of
A) a beautiful creature,a servant of God, the incarnation of goodness
B) the ex-boyfriend of Buffy
I daresay that are nearer to truth those that chose B)
