I'm starting to get ideas together for making the Berserker armor at the end of Volume 26 (the demon helmet version on the last page).
So far I'm planning on using: some kind of heavy paper (oak tag) folded into the separate plates, adhesive backed cloth to attach to the plates, a tight black shirt and black PJ bottoms, some cheap black boots I have lying around, and paint-on rubber for the plates.

It would just be a bunch of paper folding, size testing (with normal tape), cloth attaching, sewing (with machine), and then finally painting on the rubber.
I estimate it will be about $150.
$80 rubber (anything cheaper?)
$40 oak tag (or other tough/light/cheap material, any suggestions?)
$30 adhesive strips (or hot glue, suggestions?)
