Halo The Movie

I have little faith in this movie. What makes my head hurt though is that they decide to make a movie of Halo, which has a VERY shallow plot when they could easily have gone back to their roots and made a Marathon movie (for those who don't know, Marathon was an earlier Bungie game that rocked).

I seriously doubt it. Marathon's story is told through the terminals... I don't think that would transfer very well to a movie. And really, probably none of the movie adaptation options would be able to maintain the mythos that surrounds things in that game (Song of Roland, etc)... Unless they did it as one of those black-and-white shot-in-a-smoke-filled-french-cafe movies where people sit around and discuss philosophy and literature.
