My first  Japanese lesson!

Re: My first  Japanese lesson!

wo or just o, is an object marker. it shows the object of a sentence...
example:
terebi o mimasu = i watch tv. terebi is the thing you're watching...

i really have no other way of explaining it, i suck at this... :-[
there could be another use for it as well, i just dont know it...

Re: My first  Japanese lesson!

At least my japanese teacher said that it was easier to write and understand the concept of O if you wrote it as WO. Because that's how it was supposed to be prononced...

But then again she also said that the people from Tokyo spoke all weird, and was so uptight about language...

*grins* ;D

Re: My first  Japanese lesson!

oh... I knew about "o"... but not "wo"

I see they're one in the same

it is "o" but it falls under the "w" column of the characters (with "wa")

For example to use を with the ms input method editor I have to type w-o
