Teez's stuff

Damn Teez you draw the way I wish I could draw! I've come across your stuff on devart on more than one occasion and always been blown away by it. I've always attempted the paint/textured look and usually fail spectacularly, I love to know what kind of custom brushes/textures you've created (though obviously you've got to keep some secrets). Can't walk before I start running though I suppose, man this really makes me want to start working on my basic anatomy again

Hi! Sorry I haven't replied for a while (things got really busy) but here is a quick post for those asking about brushes:

Like many people I tend to switch around, compile new and abandon old brushsets every now and then. Here's the one I have right now: http://www.mediafire.com/?wjm54tmmiky

I don't take credit for most of these brushes: this package includes brushes from James Paick (at least, his set from a year ago) and Kekai Kotaki.

To make more of these brushes or just to customize the existing ones, be sure to really mess around with the brush settings! You'll get fun and interesting results.

To make your own brushes from scratch, open up a new document, make a couple lines or splatters on them, and then click Edit: Define Brush Preset. Then you'll have a brush that you can fully customize via the Brushes window. That's how James and Kekai and those other people made these brushes.

My favorite brush, is the simple default round, with pressure and opacity turned on. As shown here: http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/029/c/c/Paintover01__Some_Tips_by_lychi.jpg
It's a very versatile and hassle-free brush!

Enjoy~
